Simple Words For The Sensible One To Reflect Upon Concerning Our Circumstances Today!!!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Raslaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

The Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) was sent within circumstances concerning which a Muslim cannot say: ”Indeed, the circumstances in which we live in more evil and more deprave in its depravity than (the circumstances in which the Prophet was sent).”   (That is) because the Prophet (salal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) was sent to a disbelieving people and he guided them through one way and one path-to worship one Lord, one God, The Perfect Lord and Master upon Whom all the creation depends and He is self-sufficient, The Unique One in His Names, Attributes and Actions. There is neither another true God (worthy of worship) besides Him nor another true Lord (i.e. the creator, provider and controller of the affairs of the creation) besides Him.

Therefore, the path [of Prophet-salal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam in calling to Allaah in those circumstances] was one, and it path the (way) that the Messengers brought.  The Prophet (salal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) called the Ummatud Dawah (i.e. the nation that had not yet accepted the message of Islaam) to that which is obligatory for today’s Ummatul Ijaabah (i.e. the nation that has already accepted the call of Islaam) to call to.

Shaykh Fawzaan: What is the meaning of the statement of Imaam Malik rahimahullah?

Shaykh Fawzaan was asked:

Question:

Is the statement of Imam Maalik rahimahullah: “Everyone’s statement can be taken or rejected except for the companion of this grave” Is this in the matters of Islamic Jurisprudence only and not in matters of Creed ?

Answer:

There is no (legitimate) differing in the matters of Creed (Aqeedah). There is no scope in (choosing to) take or reject (Issues of Aqeedah) because they are affairs founded upon the texts (of the Book and Sunnah) rather this (statement) is only (applicable) in the issues of jurisprudence. The speech of everyone in agreement with the evidences is taken and that which opposes the evidences is rejected. This is what Imaam Maalik (rahimahullah) intended.

Shaykh Fawzaan: What are the good and desired actions that are sought after in the blessed month of Ramadhaan?

Shaykh Saalih Al Fawzaan hathidahullah was asked:

Question:

What are the good and desired actions that are sought after in the blessed month of Ramadhaan?

Answer:

The good and desired actions in Ramadhaan are many. The most important of them is to uphold the performance of that which Allah has obligated in Ramadhaan and other than Ramadhaan; such as praying and fasting, then increasing upon that to the supererogatory actions; from them: the recitation of the quran, the taraweeh prayers, tahajjud, (giving of) charity, i’tikaaf and increasing upon the remembrance (of Allah), the utterance of subhaanAllah, laa ilaaha illAllah, Allahu Akbar and sitting in the masjid for worship, and protecting the fast from that which will nullify it or that which will make it deficient of forbidden detestable actions and statements.

Praying Behind an Imaam Who has defects (in his recitation)

Question:

There is a masjid whose Imaam is a Haafidh of the Qur’aan and he has good understanding in the issues of the prayer, except that there are some defects on his tongue (i.e. in his pronunciation); but he is from a non-Arab country. Is his Imaamship valid alongside the fact that there are those with a clearer tongue than him?

Answer:

I say: (If) he is not able to pronounce the (letters and sentences) of the clear Arabic language, then he may (read) some of the verses with other than its intended (meaning), such as substituting(ر) with a ( غ ) or a (ح) with a (ه )- saying: (الرهمن), which is similar to what some non-Arabs do; saying: الهمد لله and substituting the (ح) with a (ه); [(saying) الهمد لله رب العالمين instead of الحمد لله رب العالمين] or substituting (ر ) with a ( غ) and what is similar to it; then it is not permissible to pray behind such a person, rather he should learn because the meaning of (what he recites) is the opposite.

And if his defects do not change the meaning, then there is no harm in praying behind him. (If) his defects changes the meaning, it is obligated on him to rectify his tongue (i.e. his pronunciation) by learning the Arabic language. It is obligatory to get other people to be Imaam if he changes the meaning (in his recitation).

Entering The Toilets With A Mushaf

Question:

One of us carries the Mushaf (copy of the Qur’aan) in his pocket and may enter the toilets with it; what is the ruling on this? Benefit us (with an answer).

Answer:

Carrying the Mushaf in one’s pocket is permissible, however it is not permissible for a person to enter the toilets with the Mushaf; rather he should put it away in a decent place out of respect for the book of Allaah; but if he is compelled by necessity to enter (the toilets) with it, out of fear that it may get stolen; then it is permissible to leave it outside due to that necessity (that compelled him to enter the toilets).  And to Allaah belongs all success, and may peace and blessings be upon our prophet Muhammad (salla Allaahu alaihi wa sallam), his family and his companions.

What is the proof from the Qur’aan that sins prevents (a person) from understanding the Qur’aan?

Answer:

Allaah the most high says:  كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

[”Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn.’’ [83:14]   Shaykhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) derived from this ayah that sin is a cause of not (being able) to understand the Qur’aan.
