In-Shaa-Allaah, we will be diverting from Shaikh Rabee’s Radd in order to utilise Shaikh Abdullah Al-Bukhaari’s observations for a few sessions. This is because Shaikh Rabee, Shaikh Ubaid, Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi, Shaikh Zaid (rahimahullaah), Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool and Shaikh Ali Naasir read the observations Shaikh Abdullah Al-Bukhaari wrote on Dr Ibraaheem’s unsubstantiated claims on the subject matter of boycotting and agreed that Shaikh Abdullah al-Bukhaari did make correct observations in that regard. We will therefore utilise Shaikh Abdullah Al-Bukhaari’s Radd for a few posts and then return to Shaikh Rabee to add more emphasis to what Shaikh Abdullah has already stated. [2] Few Observations on Dr Ibraaheem Ar-Ruhayli Before We Speak About His More Serious Errors!

Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari (may Allaah preserve him) stated that he wrote down observations and comments on Dr Ibraaheem Ruhayli’s (may Allaah guide him) treatise and sent it to the scholars and Mashaayikh, from them, Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him), Shaikh Ubaid (may Allaah preserve him), Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool ) and others. They looked into what Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari wrote and supported his observations. After Shaikh Abdullaah read the entire refutation to Shaikh Ubaid, the Shaikh asked him to conclude it. Shaikh Ubaid described the refutation as a successful and beautiful one. Shaikh Zaid Bin Haadi (rahimahullaah) agreed that the observations were correct but advised Shaikh Abdullaah not to mention Dr Ibraaheem Ar-Ruhayli’s name. Also after Shaikh Abdullah concluded the refutation, one of the Mashaayikh asked him to send a copy to Dr Ruhayli in the hope that he will recant from the errors, but Dr Ibraaheem Ar-Ruhayli persisted upon error.

One of the things you may discover when a man of bidah and falsehood uses the statement of scholar to establish his falsehood

Shaikh Muhammad Baazmool (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

And whenever you find the statement of a Muhaq’qiq Scholar being utilized as proof by a person of bidah and falsehood in seeking to establish his falsehood and you refer that statement back to its original source, you will not find except that this (person of falsehood) did cut off and separate some part of it from another part. To oppose one’s desires for the sake of the truth in affairs of knowledge and creed can be difficult, so it requires research and contemplation. Also in facing such difficulty one is in need of asking the scholars and benefitting from them. Fourthly: Envy: It may be that when another person clarifies the truth for him, he sees that by acknowledging such truth, it would necessitate an acknowledgement of the clarifier’s virtue, knowledge and correctness due to that clarification; so this may become great in the eyes of the people and they begin to follow him. So you will find some of those who attribute themselves to knowledge being eager to prove the mistakes of other scholars even if that is done by way of falsehood due to envy and seeking to diminish their status amongst the people. Thirdly: Pride: It may be that a person is upon ignorance or falsehood, so another person comes along and clarifies the proofs for him, but he sees that by acknowledging such proofs, it would necessitate that he is deficient and that it was such a person who guided him. And due to this, we find that it is not difficult for some of those who attribute themselves to knowledge to acknowledge their mistakes when it becomes manifests to them in their researches and studies, but it becomes difficult upon them when others clarify such mistakes for them.
