[11] Tawhid – Pure Islamic Monotheism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allah [The Most High] said:

And [remember] when Ibrahim [Abraham] said to his father and his people: “Verily, I am innocent of what you worship, except Him [i.e. I worship none but Allah Alone] Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me.” And he made it [i.e. Laa ilaha ill-Allah – none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone] a Word lasting among his offspring [True Monotheism], that they may turn back [i.e. to repent to Allaah or receive admonition]. [Az-Zukhruf. 26-27]

[وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٲهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦۤ – And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father and his people]: Meaning: He said to his people who used to worship deities besides Allah; [إِنَّنِى بَرَآءٌ۬ مِّمَّا تَعۡبُدُونَ-Verily, I am innocent of what you worship; إِلَّا ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى فَإِنَّهُ ۥ سَيَہۡدِينِ – Except Him [i.e. Allaah] Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me].

Meaning: Allah is my Protector and I have hope that Allaah will guide me to knowledge of the truth and to act upon truth. And just as Allaah created me and nurtured me with blessings by way of which I attained physical well-being and other worldly benefits, likewise Allaah will guide me towards that which will bring me well-being in my religion and well-being in the afterlife.

Then Allah [The Most High] said: [وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةَۢ بَاقِيَةً۬ فِى عَقِبِهِۦ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ – And he made it (i.e. Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah -None has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone) a Word lasting among his offspring (True Monotheism), that they may turn back (i.e. to repent to Allah or receive admonition)].

Meaning: He established this praiseworthy quality – sincerely worshipping Allaah alone and freed himself from everything worshipped besides Allaah, which is foundation and basis of all praiseworthy qualities. He was well-known for this quality and he commanded his offspring – Ishaaq, Ya’qub and others- to adhere to it, just as Allah [The Most High] said in Surah Al-Baqarah:

And who turns away from the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham) (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) except him who befools himself? Truly, We chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.

When his Lord said to him, “Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!” He said, “I have submitted myself [as a Muslim] to the Lord of the ‘Alamin [mankind, jinns and all that exists].

And this [submission to Allah, Islaam] was enjoined by Ibrahim [Abraham] upon his sons and by Ya’qub [Jacob], [saying], “O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the [true] religion, then die not except in the Faith of Islam [as Muslims – Islamic Monotheism].

Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya’qub [Jacob]? When he said unto his sons, “What will you worship after me?” They said, “We shall worship your Ilah [God – Allah], the Ilah [God] of your fathers, Ibrahim [Abraham], Isma’il [Ishmael], Ishaque [Isaac], One Ilah [God], and to Him we submit [in Islam].

That was a nation who has passed away. They shall receive the reward of what they earned and you of what you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do. [An Excerpt from “Tafsir as-Sadi”]

[10] Tawhid – Pure Islamic Monotheism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Most High] said:

Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger [Muhammad] from amongst yourselves [i.e. whom you know well]. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He [Muhammad] is anxious over you [to be rightly guided, to repent to Allah, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins, in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hellfire], for the believers [he is] full of pity, kind, and merciful. But if they turn away, say [O Muhammad]: “Allaah is sufficient for me. Laa ilaha illa Huwa [none has the right to be worshipped but He], in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne. [a-Tawbah. 128-129]

Allah [The Most High] has favoured His believing servants by sending the unlettered Prophet from amongst themselves. They know his state of affairs and are able to accept what he says and submit wholeheartedly. He gives them tremendous sincere advice and hastens to that which will bring about well-being for them [in this life and the next].

[عَزِيزٌ عَلَيۡهِ مَا عَنِتُّمۡ- It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty]: Meaning: He is troubled when you are troubled. [حَرِيصٌ عَلَيۡڪُم- anxious over you]: Meaning: He wants good for you and strives hard to make you accomplish that. He is eager for you to be guided to Iman hates that evil should come to you and strives his utmost to turn you away from it. [بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ۬ رَّحِيمٌ۬ – for the believers (he is) full of pity, kind, and merciful]: Meaning: He loves you dearly and has a lot of mercy for you-more merciful to you than your parents. And due to this, his rights take precedence over the rights of all the creation. It is obligated to the Ummah to believe in him, exalt, honour and assist him [i.e. in the manner legislated by Allah – neither exceeding the limits nor become lackadaisical]. If the people believe in the Prophet, then that would be their good share and well-being [in this life and the next]; [فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ – But if they turn away]: Meaning: If they turn away from Iman and righteous deeds, then adhere to your path [O Prophet] and do not stop calling to it, and say: [حَسۡبِىَ ٱللَّهُ- Allah is sufficient for me]: Meaning: Allah suffices me in all my affairs.

[لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ‌ۖ – none has the right to be worshipped but He]: Meaning: There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. [عَلَيۡهِ تَوَڪَّلۡتُ – in Him I put my trust]: Meaning: I depend on Allah with a firm resolve to grant me what is beneficial and repel from me what is harmful. [وَهُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ – and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne].

[9] Tawhid- Pure Islamic Monotheism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allah [The Most High] said:

So know [O Muhammad] that Laa ilaaha ill-Allah [none has the right to be worshipped but Allah], and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for [the sin of] believing men and believing women. And Allah knows well your moving about, and your place of rest. [Surah Muhammad. 19]

[فَٱعۡلَمۡ أَنَّهُ ۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّ – So know (O Muhammad) that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah]: Meaning: Be firm upon your knowledge that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah. [وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ‌ۗ – and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for (the sin of) believing men and believing women].

[وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ مُتَقَلَّبَكُمۡ وَمَثۡوَٮٰكُمۡ – And Allah knows well your moving about, and your place of rest]: Ibn Abbas said this means, “Allah knows your moving about in this worldly life and your place of rest in the afterlife”.

Ikrimah said that this means “Allah knows your moving from the loins of men [i.e. the sperm from your fathers] to the wombs of women [i.e. where the sperm is deposited in the wombs of your mothers], and your resting places in the graves”. Muqaatil said that this means, “Allah knows your movements during the day and your resting places in the evening”.

[8] Tawhid – Pure Islamic Monotheism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Most High] said:

Allah, it is He Who has made the night for you that you may rest therein and the day for you to see. Truly, Allah is full of Bounty to mankind, yet most of mankind give no thanks.

That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, Laa ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), where then you are turning away (from Allah, by worshipping others instead of Him)!

Thus were turned away those who used to deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah.

Allah, it is He Who has made for you the earth as a dwelling place and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape and made your shapes good (looking) and has provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord, then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

He is the Ever Living, Laa ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), so invoke Him making your worship pure for Him Alone (by worshipping Him Alone, and none else, and by doing righteous deeds sincerely for Allah’s sake only, and not to show off, and not to set up rivals with Him in worship). All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). [Ghafir. 61-65]

“Allah, it is He Who has made the night for you that you may rest therein and the day for you to see”.

Meaning: Allah [The Most High] reminds His creation [i.e. Mankind and Jinn] of His favours. He made the night for them, in which they take rest and cease from their activities so that they can return to seeking after their livelihood during the daytime. He [The Most High] made the daytime bright, so that they can travel and engage in their occupations.

“Truly, Allah is full of Bounty to mankind, yet most of mankind give no thanks]: Meaning: They are not thankful for the favours Allaah has bestowed on them”.

“That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, none has the right to be worshipped but He)”.

Meaning: Allah is the One Who did all these things- The One and Only, the Unique One, the one and only true deity, Who possesses all the Names and Attributes of perfection and free is He from all imperfections, faults, deficiencies, similarities, co-equals; the One singled out in His actions [the Creator, Provider and in Whose control is all the affairs of the universe]- besides Whom there is no other true object of worship or Lord. [فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ -How then are you turning away]: Meaning: How can you worship idols when it is the fact that they have not created anything [and cannot create anything]; rather are themselves made and carved by [people].

Then Allah [The Mighty and Majestic] said:

“Thus were turned away those who used to deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah”.

Meaning: Just as these people [i.e. the pagans of the Arabian peninsula] are misguided by worshipping others besides Allaah, likewise those who were before them did turn away [from guidance], so they worshipped others besides Allaah with no proof or evidence; rather their worship of others was merely due to ignorance and desires. They wilfully denied Allaah’s proofs and His signs.

Then Allah [The Most High] said:

“Allah, it is He Who has made for you the earth as a dwelling place”.

Meaning: Allaah made it firmly fixed and spread out, so that they [i.e. the creatures] can live on it and walk on its pathways (or roads). He [The Most High] strengthened the earth with the mountains, so that it does not tremble. [وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءً۬ – and the sky as a canopy]: Meaning: Allaah made it a roof covering for the world.

[وَصَوَّرَڪُمۡ فَأَحۡسَنَ صُوَرَڪُمۡ – and has given you shape and made your shapes good (looking)]: Meaning: Allah created you in the most excellent shape and form. [وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِۚ – and has provided you with good things]: Meaning: Allaah provided you with foods and drinks in this worldly life, just as He [The Most High] said in Surah Al-Baqarah that He created the earth as a dwelling, its inhabitants and provision. He [The Most High] said:

“O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious). Who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped)”. [Al-Baqarah 21-22]

Then after Allah [The Most High] stated (in the in Surah Ghaafir) that He alone created all these things [i.e. the night, the day, the earth, the sky etc], He said:

“That is Allah, your Lord, then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)”.

Meaning: He is The Pure and Perfect One- Exalted, and free is He from all imperfections, faults, deficiencies, shortcomings, weaknesses- and He is the Lord of the Aalameen.

Then Allah said: [هُوَ ٱلۡحَىُّ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ – He is the Ever Living, None has the right to be worshipped but He].

“so invoke Him making your worship pure for Him Alone. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)”.

Meaning: Affirm that He is One, the only one worthy of being worshipped and that all the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

Excerpts from Misbah Al-Munir Fee Tahdhib Tafsir Ibn Kathir and Tafsir as-Sadi

[7] Tawhid- Pure Islamic Monotheism

In The Name Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Most High] said:

He has created the heavens and the earth with truth. He makes the night to go in the day and makes the day to go in the night. And He has subjected the sun and the moon. Each running (on a fixed course) for an appointed term. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving].

Allah [The Most High] informed [us] that He created the heavens and the earth due to a perfect Wisdom and for a [great] benefit- to command His servants [with acts of obedience] and forbid them [from acts of disobedience]; reward them [for being obedient] and punish them [for being disobedient].

Then Allah [The Most High] said:

He makes the night to go in the day and makes the day to go in the night. And He has subjected the sun and the moon. Each running (on a fixed course) for an appointed term; [أَلَا هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرُ -Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving].

Then Allah [The Most High] said:

He created you (all) from a single person (Adam); then made from him his wife [Hawwa’ (Eve)]. And He has sent down for you of cattle eight pairs (of the sheep, two, male and female; of the goats, two, male and female; of the oxen, two, male and female; and of the camels, two, male and female). He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation in three veils of darkness.

Then Allah [The Most High] said:

Such is Allah your Lord. His is the kingdom, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). How then are you turned away?]

Meaning: He is the One Who created the heavens and the earth, subjected the sun and the moon, created you and created the cattle for you, and created all the blessings you have; therefore, He alone is worthy of being deified and worshipped, for He alone is the One Who nurtured you [i.e. created you, created everything for you and showed you both the worldly benefits and the path to salvation in this life and the next], and placed all your affairs in order. And just as He alone created and nurtured everything and none is a partner to Him in all of that, likewise this establishes the fact that none has the right to be worshipped except Him.

That is why He [The Most High] said:

Such is Allah your Lord. His is the kingdom, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He).

“How then are you turned away?” Meaning: How are you turned away after this manifest proof (which shows that) none has the right to worshipped except Him, yet you worship false deities that neither control anything nor have command over anything in the universe.

An Excerpt from Tafsir As-Sadi

[6] Tawhid- Pure Islamic Monotheism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Most High] said:

The Event [the Hour or the punishment] ordained by Allah will come to pass, so seek not to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate as partners with Him. He sends down the angels with inspiration of His Command to whom of His slaves He pleases [saying]: “Warn mankind that none has the right to be worshipped but I, so fear Me [by abstaining from sins and evil deeds]. [An-Nahl 1-2]

[أَتَىٰٓ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ فَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِلُوهُ‌ۚ – The Event [the Hour or the punishment] ordained by Allah will come to pass, so seek not to hasten it]: Meaning: Allah [The Most High] has made it known that what He has promised is near and that it will definitely take place.

[سُبۡحَـٰنَهُ ۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ- Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate as partners with Him]: Meaning: Glorified and Exalted is He above the partners they ascribe to Him, such as sons, a wife, similarities to the creation and other things which the polytheists ascribe to Him -all of which are either not befitting His Majesty or violates His Perfection.

And after He [The Most High] freed Himself from the evil descriptions which His enemies describe Him with, He spoke about the revelation which He sent down to His Prophets, saying: [يُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓٮِٕكَةَ بِٱلرُّوحِ مِنۡ أَمۡرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦۤ – He sends down the angels with inspiration of His Command to whom of His slaves He pleases]: Meaning: The revelation through which the hearts are given life [i.e. guided to Iman, Tawhid, upright deeds etc], which He conveyed to Jibreel and commanded him to convey to the Prophets and Messengers, whom He declared righteous and worthy of conveying His Message.

And the essence of this message was: [أَنۡ أَنذِرُوٓاْ أَنَّهُ ۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۟ فَٱتَّقُونِ – Warn mankind that none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah), so fear Me (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds)]: Meaning: To have knowledge and awareness of Allah [The Most High], single Him out in His Attributes, which are all Attributes of Perfection – [free from all deficiencies, shortcomings, faults etc], worship Him alone and do not associate anyone as a partner to Him, for indeed this is why He [The Most High] revealed His Books and sent His Messengers. All the different laws He [The Most High] commanded His Prophets and Messengers and their followers to follow was for the purpose of fulfilling this goal [i.e. Tawheed].

Who are the Druze?

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Tamiyyah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The Druze and the Nusayris are unbelievers by consensus of the Muslim (scholars). It is not permissible to consume their slaughtered animals or to marry their women, for indeed, they are apostates. They are not Muslims, neither are they Jews nor Christians. [Footnote a]

They do not acknowledge the obligation of the five daily prayers, the fasting during Ramadan, or pilgrimage, nor do they recognise the prohibitions established by Allah and His Messenger regarding dead meat, alcohol, and other matters. Even if they profess the two testimonies of faith alongside these beliefs, they are deemed unbelievers by the consensus of the Muslim (scholars).

The Druze are followers of Hashtakin al-Darzi, a freed slave of the ruler, who sent him to the people of the valley of “Taym Allah Ibn Thalabah” to call them to the divinity of of the ruler, whom they refer to as the All-Knowing Creator, swearing oaths by him. They are part of the Isma’iliyyah (Shittes) claiming that Muhammad Ibn Ismail abrogated the Shariah of (Prophet) Muhammad the son Abdullah. Their disbelief is greater than those of the extremists (i.e. the most extreme Shiites), as they assert the eternity of the world, deny resurrection, and reject the obligations and prohibitions of Islam.

They are associated with the Qaramitah and the Batiniyyah, whose disbelief is more severe than that of the Jews, Christians, and the polytheists of Arabia. Their ultimate affair is philosophers in the path of Aristotle and his ilk, or Magians. Their statements are based on the statements of the philosophers and the Magians. [1]

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baz, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

The Druze are ones among the people who hide the most what they are upon, concealing their religion and not making it very clear to the people. There are not aligned with the Muslims, while they feign that they are not non-Muslims, (but) what is well known is that they are polytheists and worshippers of the (Fatimid) Ubaidi ruler. They are no aligned with the Muslims and what is apparent is that they are not aligned with the Muslims. What is well known to the one who knows them is that they are not Muslims and they do not adhere to Islam as their religion. They engage in acts of worship that are outside of what the Muslims are upon and they are associated with (or connected) to the well known (Fatimid) Ubaidi ruler. This is what those familiar with them have stated. However, advising them is important – advising, calling them to the path of Allah, guiding them to good and teaching them what benefits them, hoping that Allah guides them….[2]

[5] Tawhid – Pure Islamic Monotheism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allah [The Most High] says:

He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases. None has the right to be worshipped but He, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. [Aal Imran. 6]

Meaning: Allah is the One Who created everyone and everything, thus, Allah alone has the right to be deified. Allah is the Possessor of Perfect Might that never ceases, Perfect Wisdom and Judgement. This verse attests to the fact that Eesa, peace be upon him, -the son of Maryam, peace be upon her, is a created being, as Allah created others amongst mankind. Allah created and shaped him in Maryam’s womb as He willed. Therefore, how could Eesa be a god as the Christians claim?! Rather, he was created in the womb of his mother and he alternated from one stage to another, as Allah, The Most High, said:

He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation in three veils of darkness. [Az-Zumar. 6]

[4] Tawhid – Pure Islamic Monotheism

The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Al-Allamah Zaid Bin Hadi Al-Mad’khali, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Tawhid Ar-Robubiyyah: Firm belief and clear affirmation that Allah (alone) is The Lord and Owner of everything. He (alone) is the Creator, Provider and He (alone) gives life and death. He (alone) is the One who judges and controls the affairs with what He wills, how He wills and whenever He wills. Whatever Allaah wills must happen and whatever He does not will cannot happen. He is the Lord of the entire universe and the king of the Day of Judgement. He created everything and measured it exactly according to its due measurements, and He gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright. This aspect of Tawhid was affirmed by the idol worshippers during the lifetime of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and the Qur’an has informed (us) about their affirmation of it.

”If you were to ask them: “Who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon?” They will surely reply: “Allah.” How then are they deviating (as polytheists and disbelievers)?!

Say: “Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!” They will say: “It is Allah’s!” Say: “Will you not then remember?” Say: “Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?” They will say: “Allah.” Say: “Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for each and every good or bad deed).” [23:84-87]

So even though they affirmed this aspect of Tawhid, it did not enter them into the fold of Islam because they did not acknowledge that Allah (alone) has the right to be worshipped; instead they associated others as partners to Him in worship. Indeed, Allah is self-sufficient that he is in no need of having any partner. “Whoever does an action whilst associating others as partners (to Me in that action), I am free from him and (the action he performed), and (I am free from being (a partner) to the one He (associated as a partner to Me in that action)”.

[3] Tawhid – Pure Islamic Monotheism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

Thus have We sent you (O Muhammad) to a community before whom other communities have passed away, in order that you might recite unto them what We have inspired to you, while they disbelieve in the Most Beneficent (Allah) Say: “He is my Lord! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! In Him is my trust, and to Him will be my return with repentance.’’ [Ar-Ra’d 30]

“Thus have We sent you (O Muhammad) to a community”. Meaning We sent you to a people to call them to guidance.

“before whom other communities have passed away”. Meaning We also sent our Messengers to the previous nations, therefore you are neither a new thing among the Messengers of Allah nor the first Messenger, (thus, they do not have any excuse) to reject your Messengership based on the assumption that you have brought something strange; nor do you say anything based on your own (opinion, view or desire) ; rather you only recite Allah’s revelations to them, which purifies the hearts and rectify the souls. However, your people disbelieve in Ar-Rahmaan  [“The Most Beneficent” – (Allah)] and they do not welcome His Mercy and Benevolence with acceptance and gratefulness; and the greatest of this is that He has sent a Messenger to them and revealed a Book to them, instead, they turn away and reject it. Do they not ponder upon the affair of those generations who came before them – those who belied the Messengers – and the manner in which Allah punished them due to their sins?!

“Say: He (Allah) is my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but He! In Him is my trust, and to Him will be my return with repentance”.

This statement establishes two categories of Tawhid; Ar-Rububiyyah and Al-Uluhiyyah. Allah is your Lord, Who nurtured you with blessings from the time He created you, and He alone is the true deity in whom you place your trust and reliance in all affairs, and to Him you turn in all your acts of worship and for all your needs.
