[Part 2] Series of Responses to Abu Usaamah’s Habitual Deceitfulness

Another Deceptive Attempt by Abu Usaamah to Nullify The Fatwa Against Him (via Facebook)

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Every Sensible Person Can Smell The Rat Here? [Abu Usaamah Does Not Support Al-Maribi (according to his followers)]; Yet He Elevated Al-Maribi With Praise

Abu Usaamah was recently caught amputating important sections of the question that was put to Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmi (rahimahullaah) about him, see here: https://twitter.com/SalafiCentre/status/718165871961751553

Just as a reminder here is the full question:

“O Shaykh Ahmad we have with us in America a man called Abu Usaamah, who is considered to be from the Du’aat, he aids and supports Abul-Hasan and he calls some noble Salafi brothers ghulaat (extremists), muqallidah (blind followers), and muhqiboon (the people whose religion is the religion of the one they blindly follow), so what is the legislated position from this man and how should we deal with him?’’

With the answer

“Your position with him is the same as your position with the People of Innovation. Turn away from him and abandon him.”

It was strange for us to discover his (or his administration’s/PR people’s) response on his facebook1 page. Soon after that uncovering of his deception, he/they made a short reply in an attempt to rebut what had been made clear, trying to annul againt he Shaykh’s verdict by claiming that

“BLATANT LIES WERE TOLD TO THE SHAYKH”

and

“Abu Usaamah DOES NOT support Abul Hasan al Ma’ribi at all, but does not see him to be an innovator”

These claims were made against the backdrop of that clearly incriminating cut and paste fatwa Abu Usaamah tried to use. Abu Usaamah here is trying to annul the section in the fatwa where the question states “supports Abul-Hasan“. He thinks by doing so, he may once again dig himself out of the hole he has found himself in, by now claiming that he does not support Al-Maribi (as stated in the question in the fatwa), and therefore by extension say that this fatwa cannot apply to him?!

Well once again this is a smokescreen, and another attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of the people. So let us go back and reconcile his statement, with the position Abu Usaamah was in at the time of the question! So he stated in 2002 about Al-Maribi:

WHAT I STILL BELIEVE TODAY Wa Lilaahi-l-Hamd, that Abul Hasan IS SALAFEE and that the (TRUE) MAJOR SCHOLARS of this era, Imaam al-Albaanee and Imaam Ibn Baaz and Imaam Ibn ‘Uthaimeen and Shaikh Muqbil (may Allah have mercy upon them) they all died while being pleased with him – and that carries some weight and consideration in this Deen?! (raghm unoofihim)

So this statement was made by Abu Usaamah, after the proofs had been established against Al-Maribi. Yet he is trying to claim that the fatwa cannot apply because he was is not a supporter of Al-Maribi?! We can clearly see from the statement above, that ad-Dhahabi still elevated Al-Maribi (the innovator) with praise! He uttered words that put Al-Maribi in a favourable position, even going as far as adding some shubuhaat (doubts) about support for Al Ma’ribi from scholars.

With regards to his doubt-ridden statement above the students at SalafiPublications (may Allaah preserve them) replied to the above statement (made by ad-Dhahabi). But let us all be clear and in no doubt of the position held by Abu Usaamah with regards to the innovator Abu Hasan al Ma’ribi when the question was asked about him. And with Allah lies the success.

Response by Salafi Publications to the statement of Praise and elevation from Abu Usaamah for Abul Hasan al Ma’ribi

Abu Usaamah adh-Dhahabi, may Allaah guide him away from this Ikhwaanee fitnah, makes numerous references to TRUE Major scholars. And he also makes it a point to emphasise the word “TRUE”, keeping it in caps, and also in brackets, before the term “Major Scholars”. By this term he means to intend either the Imaams of the Sunnah who have recently passed away, or those from the Major scholars, who defend Abul-Hasan or do not share the same viewpoint as those who have refuted him and exposed him.

A few points need to be made clear, because this can be counted as talbees upon the people, whether intended or not:

ONE: When a reader reads his, he most probably thinks that therefore the TRUE major scholars are those who spoke good of Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribee and did not criticise him or expel him from Salafiyyah.

TWO: When a reader reads this, he is led to believe that Shaykh Rabee is not from the “TRUE” Major scholars, even if Abu Usaamah does not intend this, but this is what comes across to the reader, because the situation here for Abu Usaamah is one of vindicating himself and his false position on Abul-Hasan, hence he deliberately made it a point to emphasise the TRUE major scholars, and he connected this with the position on Abul-Hasan and defence of him. And we do not dispute that all those mentioned are in fact TRUE Major scholars, we are in agreement. But this is ends up with talbees upon the people, whether intended or not, because, we have to keep things into context.

THREE:  Imaam al-Albaanee said, “The carrier of the flag of al-jarh wat-ta’deel is our brother, dr. Rabee… and those who refute him do not so upon knowledge, rather to him is all the knowledge”. And Imaam al-Albaani here is not talking about the narrators of hadeeth, he is speaking about refuting the opposers to Salafiyyah. Imaam Ibn Uthaymeen also said, that Shaykh Rabee’ is one whose manhaj is  Salafiyyah and he is very strong in calling to it, and the Shaykh also said that the only reason why people find fault with Shaykh Rabee’ and dislike his cassettes and make accusations against him is because he spoke about their figureheads from the contemporary latecomers. Shaykh Salih al-Fawzaan has many statements written and recorded in which he says that Shaykh Rabee’ is amongst those who have skilled and deep knowledge in refuting those who wish inhiraaf in the da’wah. And Shaykh Muhammad al-Bannaa has many statements about Shaykh Rabee also, and Shaykh Muqbil said that whoever Shaykh Rabee says is a hizbee, then it will become clear to you after some time that he is a hizbee. Also Shaykh Rabee is amongst the oldest of the scholars alive today. And don’t forget what Usaamah al-Qoosee (may Allaah guide him) used to say, that Rabee is the Imaam Ahmad of our times, he is a mihnah (test), he does not compromise nor lie, he speaks the truth, he is a whole manhaj, not just a person. So don’t forget this Yaa Abaa Usaamah, may Allaah guide you away from this Ikhwaanee fitnah.

In light of all of this it is established that Shaykh Rabee’, is a TRUE major Scholar. So it is obligatory upon you to explain this to the people and not to allow the people to be  deceived by these talbeesaat which exist in your bayaan.

FOUR: For the readers, why is this is of significance. This is of significance, because Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribee and those who are deceived by him like Abu Usaamah, are trying to wage a war against the principles of Jarh of the Innovators and Opposers.

Al-Ma’ribee represents a line and tradition of people, who came before him, who brought about this war. This started with Hasan al-Bannaa with the principle, “Let us cooperate in that which we agree, and pardon each other (i.e. for the Shirk, Innovation, and misguidance), in which we disagree.” This principle abolished the idea of Jarh of the Innovators and these ideas spread by way of al-Ikhwaan into many different lands, thereby harming the Sunnah. Then when the scholars refuted this and explained that there are sects that are headed for the Fire, sects of innovation and they are upon innovation and deviation and hence must be spoken about, and that there are Innovators and those who misguide who must be spoken about, this harmed the Ikhwaanee da’wah. So along came Abdur-Rahman Abdul-Khaaliq and Salman al-Awdah and Adnaan Ar’oor and they brought al-Muwaazanah. The evil innovation which makes it binding that when you refute someone, an innovator, a deviant, an opposer, you must mention his good points also. So the Major Scholars, amongst the Shaykh Rabee’ at the forefront, and then after him there followed Shaykh al-Albaani, Shaykh Ibn Baaz, Shaykh al-Fawzaan, Shaykh al-Abbaad, and many others who demolished this innovation. Then there came Abu-Hasan al-Maribee, and he brought some new principles, this time to try to demolish the jarh that would come from the scholars. And basically what he wanted to do was to refute the established principle, that a Jarh Mufassar overrules the ta’deel, even if the Mu’addiloon are many in number. So he layed down all his principles, of “tathabbut”, of “absence of taqleed”, “mujmal and mufassal” and many other matters, all to make as many excuses and ways out for those people whom the scholars would refute and criticise and convict with innovation or misguidance, where that was the case. This is what he did, he merely extended the Ikhwaanee war against the Salafees by way of this deception.

So once you have understood all this, you will also have some appreciation as to why what Abu Usaamah has written and his deliberate intent to emphasise TRUE major scholars, only in the context of those who passed away while speaking good of Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribee or in the context of Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbaad. This is because this underlying deception (whether it is intended by Abu Usaamah or not) has the effect of leading the person to think: “Yeah, the manhaj of these Scholars is different to the manhaj of Shaykh Rabee. Yeah. Their manhaj wasn’t like this.”

And this type of speech you see also coming from Usaamah al-Qoosee and those with him in their loyalty to Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribee. Pushing it in the minds of the people that the TRUE major scholars who passed away and Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin who is alive (hafidhahullaah), all have a different manhaj to those criticising Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribee, and they all have a different manhaj to Shaykh Rabee. All of this is talbees upon the people. This is what this group of people are now doing both in the Arab lands, and also in the West to get this idea across to the people, so beware of it, and they are using the likes of these talbeesaat upon the people. They know that this is the case, even if they do not explicitly say it outwardly, they know deeply inside their own souls, that this is the propaganda they are forcing upon the people. Al-Ma’ribee has come out openly with this, but those who are with him like Usaamah al-Qoosee and those with him, are upon the same thing, but they are not so open and instead use other tactics, like coming out in the name of moderation, balance, equity, justice and so on.

FIVE: So the point here is that we know that if one scholar, known to be upon the Sunnah, an Aalim, rather an Imaam in his field, knowing what he says, brings proof for what he says, is truthful, trustworthy, when he makes jarh upon an individual, and has a jarh mufassar, then it is obligatory to take his speech, even if those who oppose him and make ta’deel are many.

And this is what has happened in the issue of Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribee except that the issue is even more clear, because there are about 8 of the people of knowledge who have declared him outside of Ahl us-Sunnah, some of them made explicit tabdee’, and this number is growing, and those who know he is upon baatil and misguidance are very many also. So now, these people want to fight against this reality, and they want to the people to lose track of this important principle which is that the jarh mufassar takes precedence over the ta’deel. This is why if you read this bayaan of Abu Usaamah and also his previous writings, you find that they never ever go in this direction, to explain this point. Why because they themselves, (because they have been deceived by al-Ma’ribee), are actually waging a war against this principle. Al-Mar’ibee waged a war against this principle in order to defend Sayyid Qutb, and al-Maghraawee, and al-Ikhwaan and some of its figureheads. Hence, you see the likes of these talbeesaat and arguing by way of the mutashaabihaat and focusing the people in directions which make them lose track of what this matter is all about. So you never see them going in this direction, whereas the Salafees, as you have seen, they have made it clear to the people, the issue of Jarh Mufassar, and they have made it clear to the people, the difference between Jarh in narrators of hadeeth and Jarh of the Innovators and Mukhaalifeen, there are differences between these two subjects (even if there some similarities), so the Salafees  have clarified the Usool in the manhaj, and you see the speech of the Salafees revolving around this, you see knowledge, you see fahm, you see the desire to clarify and explain. And as for the likes of Abu Usaamah and those upon the manhaj of Abul-Hasan, you only see confusion, no knowledge, and dodging the issues and confusing the people, and fleeing from the real issues that make up this fitnah.

Instead you see examples, of what we have pointed out here, examples by which they keep away from the actual issue of Abul-Hasan, and the particular details of it and the established principles in the Salafee manhaj pertaining to Jarh of the innovators and deviants, and then most of their argument is centred around demonising the Salafees, they said this and did that, and tried to push this one out of the da’wah and that one, and accusing them of all sorts, whilst keeping away from discussing the actual issue, from an usool point of view, which has been the cause of all this fitnah: the Ikhwaanee manhaj of Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribee. And also talbeesaat like the one that comes across here, which is trying to portray or link someone being a TRUE major scholar as being one who did not speak evil of Abul-Hasan.

SIX: The summary here, is Abu Usaamah needs to openly acknowledge to the people, that Shaykh Rabee is also a TRUE major scholar who has criticised Abul-Hasan al-Ma’ribee and that he should not try to play these psychological games with his audience. And that by testimony of Shaykh al-Albaani, Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan, Shaykh Muqbil, Shaykh Mohammad al-Bannaa (all of them major scholars), Shaykh Rabee’ is an Imaam in the field of refuting the Hizbiyyeen and the figureheads of Ikhwaan, and in knowing the people who “wish to cause deviation in da’wah” (as Shaykh al-Fawzaan said) and that by the admission of these scholars themselves, Shaykh Rabee’ is more knowledgeable and more skilled than them in this particular field. So we ask Abu Usaamah to openly announce this to the people, so as to not cause talbeesaat upon them. Then when he has announced this to the people, we then also ask him to openly announce and explain to the people the correct manhaj in the issue of when some scholars refute a person and others give him praise and see nothing that warrants him being refuted or having jarh made upon, and that there is a rule, an established rule that represents this manhaj that is to be adopted, which is that a Jarh Mufassar takes precedence over the ta’deel, even if the Mu’addiloon are many.

If Abu Usaamah’s bayaans were more knowledge-based instead of being filled with emotions, then maybe we can evaluate and see what Abu Usaamah is bringing. But unfortunately, there is no fahm and no knowledge in his writings. Only aspects of confusion which perpetuate confusion. http://www.salafitalk.net/st/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=14&Topic=1153

Abu Ibraheem (Husnayn) Recommends The Student of a Murji Mubtadi

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) said: ‘He who loves the deeds of a people, good or bad, is just like the one who commits them'[1]

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) commented saying:

He who loves the deeds of a people is just like one who commits them; so if those (deeds) are good he gets a reward similar to theirs, and if those (deeds) are bad he bears the burden and sin similar to theirs. We seek Allaah’s refuge from that!

And due to this, it has been reported concerning the one who wishes to be like the scholar who teaches the people good, that he will get a reward similar to that of (that Scholar).  And the one who wishes to be like the rich person who spends his wealth in the path of Allah, (then) he will receive a reward similar to that of (that rich person) in accordance to his intention.

Likewise, the opposite of this is (with regards) to the one who wishes to be like the criminal and the people of sin, (and) wishes to be their partners in sin or give support to their views and hold it to be true, (then) he is like them even if he did not commit an act similar to theirs, (but) solely (due to the fact that) he held their views to be correct and took their side.[end of quote][2]

Abu Ibraheem (Husnayn) recommends Abu Suhaib Bassam- a student and staunch supporter  of the Murji Mubtadi, Ali Al-Halabi. When this Abu Suhaib entered the city of Manchester, he proceeded for Dawah with the followers of Al-Halabi Al-Murji Al-Mubtadi, Al-Maghraawi At-Takfeeri Al-Mubtadi and and Al-Maribi Al-Ikhwaani al-Mubtadi at Masjid As-Sunnah [Cheethamhill].

Abu Suhaib is well aware of the detail refutations of the Scholars against Halabi and his innovations, however he takes pride in defending Al-Halabi and openly keeping the company Al-Halabi’s staunch followers. Abu Suhaib is afflicted with a corrupt Walaa Wal Baraa in this affair of Al-Halabi, even though he portray himself as one who fights all bidah. In one of his lectures he stated that ”Every Bidah is Misguidance”; but what prevents him from openly refuting the innovations of Ali Al-Halabi Al-Murji al-Mubtadi?!

Also in that same lecture, Abu Suhaib quoted the statement of Ibn Mas’ood (radiyallaahu-anhu) as follows: ”Follow and do not innovate, and hold unto the old affair for you have been sufficed.”  He (Abu Suhaib) even questioned the proponents of Bidah Hasanah, asking them whether they are stupid or stubborn for holding onto this erroneous view! However, Abu Suhaib refrains from openly denouncing Al-Halabi and his innovations, even though the innovations of Ali Al-Halabi are also from the affairs of misguidance. Imaam Sufyaan Ath-Thawri (rahimahullaah) stated:

“If you loved a man for Allaah and then he innovated in Islaam and you didn’t hate him for it, you never truly loved him for Allaah.” (http://maktabah-alfawaaid.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/ath-thawree-if-you-loved-man-for-allaah.html)

So we say to Abu Ibraheem Husnayn: Do you promote the staunch supporters of Mubtadi’ah and consider them to be upon the balanced path?! How can the staunch followers of Mubtadi’ah be considered as such, rather the people upon the balanced path are those who abandon the obstinate figureheads of bidah and their staunch followers. They reject the shubuhaat of the figureheads of bidah and their staunch followers at Masjid As-Sunnah (Manchester), Masjid Al-Ghurabaa (Luton), Masjid Ibn Taymiyyah (Brixton), Masjid Al-Furqan (Manchester) and other people of hizbiyyah.

Reminder To Abu Ibraaheem About What The Balnaced Path Is

Shaikh Muhammad Bin Saalim Baazmool (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

It is widely known about some of the people that Al [ٱلۡوُسۡطَ] is only that which occupies the middle position between two things, and they do not call to attention the other meaning of this word, as mentioned in the Magnificent Qur’aan and the Prophetic Sunnah. [ٱلۡوُسۡطَ ]  in the Islamic legislation is that which is ‘Superior.’ [Allaah (The Most High)] said: said:

حَـٰفِظُواْ عَلَى ٱلصَّلَوَٲتِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱلۡوُسۡطَىٰ

Guard strictly (five obligatory) As-Salawaat (the prayers) especially the Salatul Wustaa (the Asr prayer) [2:238] [ٱلۡوُسۡطَىٰ]; meaning: the best, most excellent etc.

And [Allaah (The Most High)] said:

مِنۡ أَوۡسَطِ مَا تُطۡعِمُونَ أَهۡلِيكُمۡ

[مِنۡ أَوۡسَطِ ] [On the scale] of the average of that which you feed your own families” [5:89] That is: The best and most just.

And [Allaah (The Most High)] said:

وَكَذَٲلِكَ جَعَلۡنَـٰكُمۡ أُمَّةً۬ وَسَطً۬ا

Thus We have made you [أُمَّةً۬ وَسَطً۬ا] [2:143]

That is: the best and most upright.

The intent behind this is to understand that [الوسطية] in the religious context is that which is ‘best’ and the ‘Justice in the Religion’—(and it is) to follow that which Allaah (The Mighty)and Magestic) has commanded and keep away   from that which He has forbidden.  As for the explanation of [الوسطية] in the religious context with a meaning other than this meaning, it is (founded upon something) ready to crumble. It is a mirage which a thirsty one considers water (i.e. an illusion). [3]

Question Abu Ibraheem (Husnayn): Can it be said that a Murji Mubtadi Ali Al-Halabi and his staunch followers are upon the middle path? Rather the scholars have established with clear proofs that Ali al-Halabi is a Murji and an extreme Mumayyi. Ali Al-Halabi innovated principles in order to accommodate innovators such as Al-Maghraawi and Al-Maribi into the ranks of Ahlus Sunnah. So where is the balance in Ali Al-Halabi’s Manhaj and why do you associate with his staunch supporter Abu Suhaib Bassam? Be warned against giving recommendations based on ignorance or desires! Indeed, either you are confused about Abu Suhaib’s corrupt alliance or you are like him. Ponder upon this Tazkiyah from Ali Al-Halabi Al-Murji al-Mubtadi to Abu Suhaib Bassam:

Praise be to Allah, and the benediction and salutation on the Messenger of Allah on his progeny and his companions and those who follow him After that: Verily our brother in the cause of Allah, Abu Sohaib Bassam Abul Haj is from among our brothers from the salafiyyun known with us for the propagation of faith to Allah’s book and the Sunnah upon the manhaj of the salaf, refuting the deviated people of innovation. May Allah grant us the right aptitude and every virtue returns to Him.[End of Quote—original Tazkiyah in Arabic available on the net]

In the above Tazkiyah Ali al-Halabi says that Abu Suhaib refutes the people of deviation! So why has Abu Suhaib refrained from refuting the innovations of Ali Al-Halabi after the scholars have clearly established that Ali Al-Halabi has innovated. Imaam Sufyaan Ath-Thawri (rahimahullaah) stated: “If you loved a man for Allaah and then he innovated in Islaam and you didn’t hate him for it, you never truly loved him for Allaah.” (http://maktabah-alfawaaid.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/ath-thawree-if-you-loved-man-for-allaah.html)

Abu Ibraaheem: Akhi refrain from speaking without proof, for indeed it is a great sin. Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۚ إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُولَٰئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْئُولًا

And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not, etc.) that of which you have no knowledge (e.g. one’s saying: “I have seen,” while in fact he has not seen, or “I have heard,” while he has not heard). Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those you will be questioned (by Allah). [17:36]

And be remnded once again what Imaam Al-Barbahaari’s (rahimahullaah) stated: He who loves the deeds of a people is just like one who commits them; so if those (deeds) are good he gets a reward similar to theirs, and if those (deeds) are bad he bears the burden and sin similar to theirs. We seek Allaah’s refuge from that!

We ask Allaah to distance you from the company of those who defend and shelter Mubtadi’ah and grant you tawfeeq to find the balanced path and its people. Aameen.

[1] Murad Al-Jazaa’iri and Abu Usaamah- [Two Obstinate Followers and Shelterers of Ahlul BIdah] – And the Verdict of Shaikh Rabee and Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmi Against Them

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

The Followers of a Mubtadi

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadi al-Madhali (rahimahullaah) said:

The people of desires and misguidance are (categorized into) those who are followed and those who follow. Indeed, those who are followed are the ones who set up the various principles of innovation and call to their innovation and misguidance, and they will carry their burden of sins and the burden of the sins of those whom they misguided without knowledge, as it is clearly stated in the Qur’aan and the Sunnah.  As for the followers of a leader from amongst the people of desires, then in most cases they are of two categories:

The First Category: Those who possess knowledge, but they harbour evil intentions. So they yield to Satan, desires and the urge of the evil soul. They follow the people of misguidance and oppose the callers to guidance (in that which) Allaah sent His Messenger Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) with.

The Second Category: Their share of knowledge is little, so the people of desires take advantage of them and they become (part) of their group. They convince them that what they call them to is the manifest truth and that what their opponents are upon is falsehood. And they convey to them a huge (number) of affairs that resemble the truth but are falsehood in reality, in order to deceive them and submerge them into misguidance.  [1] End of quote

So here we have both Murad and Goldie as staunch, persistent and vile shelterers of Ahlul Bidah. Murad utilizes every opportunity to defend Hajoori Al-haddaadi Al-Mubtadi and attacks those who unveil Al-Hajoori’s bidah and misguidance. On the other hand, Abu Usaamah is well known for his defense of Ali Al-Halabi Al-Murji al-Mubtadi and his attacks against Salafiyyoon.

And what is amazing is that even though Murad and Goldie are at loggerheads due to their divergent paths of misguidance, however the two innovators they shelter and defend (Al-Halabi and Al-hajoori) are united against the Mashaayikh, such as Shaikh Ubaid, Shaikh Rabee, Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmi, Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi, Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari and others. Rather Ali Al-Halabi al-Murji al-Mubtadi paid a visit to Yahya al-Hajoori Al-Haddaadi al-Mubtadi. [2]

So these two innovators unite against the Mashaayikh of Ahlus Sunnah and their two followers (Goldie and Murad) are from the most zealous and obstinate in their defense of these two innovators. Murad and Goldie do the same dirty job, but they are at loggerheads. Murad hates Goldie because he believes that Goldie is a Hizbi and upon Tamyee, but on the other hand he is upon the path of Yahya Al-Hajoori Al-Haddaadi Al-Mubtadi. Al-Halabi, Goldie, Al-Hajoori and Murad are all upon misguidance and that is why Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him) and Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmi 9rahimahullaah) have both issued their verdicts.

Shaikh Rabee (may Allaah preserve him) said: Al-Hajoori is more evil than the Haddaadiyyah and the ideas of the Kharijites have penetrated him and his followers. [3]

The Shaikh said about Murad Al-Jazaa’iri: ‘’Warn against Mourad Jaza’iree from Manchester: That he speaks ill of Shaikh Ubaid & Shaikh Bukhaaree & defends Hajooree.’’ [4]

As for Ali Al-Halabi, his affair is well known, for he innovated before Al-Hajoori and was declared a Mubtadi by Shaikh Rabee and others.

As for Abu Usama is not only well known for defending Al-Halabi Al-Murji Al-Mubtadi, but he is also well known for defending Abul Hasan Al-Maribi Al-Ikhwaani al-Mubtadi. Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmi (rahimahullaah) was asked about Goldie:

Question: “O Shaykh Ahmad we have with us in America a man called Abu Usaamah who is considered to be from the Du’aat, he aids and supports Abul-Hasan and he calls some noble Salafi brothers ghulaat (extremists), muqallidah (blind followers), and muhqiboon (the people whose religion is the religion of the one they blindly follow), so what is the legislated position from this man and how should we deal with him?

Response:

موقفكم منه كموقفكم من أهل البدعة , أعرض عنه و اتركه

“Your position with him is the same as your position with the People of Innovation. Turn away from him and abandon him. [5]

And to this day the misguided and obstinate shelter of Al-Halabi (Goldie) and the misguided and obstinate shelterer of Al-Hajoor (Murad) have both continued upon their compound ignorance and blatant misguidance. So we leave them with the following statements of the Salaf as a reminder, so that the reader realizes the severity of what Murad and Goldie are upon. Murad supports and elevates Al-Hajoori Al-Haddaadi al-Mubtadi and Goldie supports and elevates al-Halabi Al-Murji Al-Mubtadi, but Imaam Sufyaan Bin Uyaynah (rahimahullaah) said:

”Every person of bidah is debased.” And he stated (concerning the statement of Allaah): [وَكَذَٲلِكَ نَجۡزِى ٱلۡمُفۡتَرِينَ- Thus do We recompense those who invent lies] that it (applies) to every inventor of lies and innovator (in the religion) until the day of judgement.” [Hilyatul Awliyaa 7/28]

Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said: Had the innovator humbled himself to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Prophet, he would not have followed his innovation; but he is amazed with his views, so he follows what he invented. [AdhTadzkirah Fil Wadh: page:97]

It is well known that both Al-Halabi and Al-Hahjoori are afflicted with self-amazement because they enter into issues above their level and end up innovating and they wage war against the Kibaarul Ulama who unveil their wicked innovations. However Murad and Goldie prefer to aid innovators, who are well known for their wicked innovations and slanders against the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah. We ask Allaah to guide them and their followers or protect us from their misguidance. Aameen.

[4] A Required Updated clarification regarding the Book Rifqan Ahlus Sunnah Bi-Ahlis Sunnah due to the renewed fraudulent claims and stances of the Hizbiyyoon and Ma’mayyi’oon

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

All praise is due to Allaah. Indeed the Scholars of Ahlus Sunnah clarify the truth and direct the Ummah towards clear-sightedness where it is needed. The information in this article will be updated based on a precise and beneficial article written by our elder brothers at Maktabah Salafiyyah in 2003.

The book of Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbaad (may Allaah preserve him), if we isolate it from the context surrounding it, is a very good book and from which all Salafees who are clear in their manhaj will find great benefit – especially in knowing how to deal with each other. This applies to the true adherents of the Salafi Maanhaj, and does not include the false claimants like the staunch followers of Al-Maghraawee, Al-Ma’ribee, Al-Halabi and other people of bidah, Tamyi and hizbiyyah.

There are a few issues in the book which have been replied to by some of the people of knowledge such as the generalisations about jarh, hajr, issues of cooperation with the opposers and hizbiyyeen that have been made in that book, and also the issues of the major scholars who passed away and whether they would refute the opposer or not. Those issues were left general by the Shaykh because he saw Al-Ma’ribee to be within Ahl us Sunnah and this fitnah to be “between” Ahl us-Sunnah when the reality is otherwise, as at least 30 other Scholars have explained with detailed evidences that Al-Maribi is an Ikhwaanee fitnah imported from outside. And because this is how the Shaykh saw the matter the way he did, he was addressing those whom he considered Salafees in his view, all within Ahl us-Sunnah. But this is a matter proven incorrect by the evidence from other scholars, because the scholars have established manifest evidences to show the deviations of Al-Ma’ribee, Al-Halabi and Al-Maghraaw.

However, some of the people of Tamyee and bidah still desire to spread tribulations by way of the Shaykh’s book, due to the surrounding context in which it was written, and for which Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmee stated that he erred in this particular action of his in writing this book. Otherwise, it is known that Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin himself has warned and refuted those whom he considered to be upon corrupt methodologies, such as Safar, Salman and Adnaan Ar’oor and Hasan al-Maalikee.

And therefore in this manner, we have a good suspicion of the Shaykh in what he has done, whilst being wary of the mistake. And by thinking in this way, we have freed ourselves of any deceit and misrepresentation of the true and real situation. This does not apply to the Innovators, Hizbiyyeen and Mu’mayyi-een who are still using this book because their activities and fervour, and zeal at this moment -itself- is based upon deceit and misrepresentation of the true realities, as they are. The fraud in their actions is apparent to every sensible and honest person.

The way Salafees should view this book and those who spread it is as follows:

[1] The book contained excellent admonitions in general about certain affairs and characteristics and lays down excellent guidelines for dealings between the clear Salafees. The Shaykh brought together tremendous statements from the Book of Allaah, the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and the Salaf.

[2] The book discussed certain topics such as hajr, tabdee’, jarh, ta’aawun, akhtaa (errors) all of which were left general and ambiguous, with no tafseel and were tied in reality to the Shaykh’s viewpoint on the fitnah of al-Ma’ribee. These issues were raised by the Shaykh in the context of the fitnah of al-Ma’ribee in which he holds an erroneous viewpoint. The Shaykh is rewarded nevertheless, but we do not take from the errors of the scholars no matter how great their rank. This is from the distinguishing features of the usool of the Salafi manhaj. The truth is with around 30 other Shaykhs from Ahl us-Sunnah. Included within them are three senior Shaykhs who are older than Shaykh Abdul-Mushin, and some of whom are more knowledgeable of the ways of the Hizbees and Innovators than the Shaykh. Every scholar has his own speciality and excellences in certain areas, and we have to be mature in this regard, and not be like the children who just want to strike this scholar against that with slogans such as “he is older”, “he has more knowledge” and so on, which don’t really address the actual underlying reasons that explain why  a different view is held in the first place, and which don’t really get to the crux of the matter which is the overwhelming established evidence against al-Ma’ribee. This immaturity is found amongst the followers of Al-Ma’ribee, Al-Halabi, and recently Saalim At-Taweel, Abdul Maalik Ar-Ramadaani and others have behaved in this manner. So there are those upon this immaturity!

And note also the difference between the Salafees who when they say they do not take the erroneous ijtihaads of Scholars, are able to demonstrate that it is erroneous by bringing tangible hard evidence to show that it is to be considered and erroneous ijtihaad. This is a universe apart from the cheap, hollow slogans of the followers of desires who say “you make taqleed of Shaykh Rabee” etc. all of which is totally baseless and is in reality a slogan fabricated to aid falsehood and confuse the people. Shaikh Khaalid Abdur-Rahmaan Al-Misri (may Allaah preserve him) said that Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (may Allaah preserve him) said:

لا نقول

أغمضوا أعينكم واركضوا وراءنا بل نقول

ادرسوا بفهمٍ وعقلٍ ووعي

وقارنوا بصدق وإخلاص

We do not say, ”Close your eyes and gallop behind us, rather we say, study with understanding, sound reasoning and attentiveness, and together with truthfulness and sincerity.” http://www.sahab.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=149391

So note the clear difference between when the Salafees do not take the position held by Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin (because of absence of evidence to reject the Jarh Mufassar) and between the Innovators who claim Shaykh Rabee has erred and that taqleed is not to be made of him (which is a trick to reject the actual evidence that is so firmly established).

So these generalisations in the Book Rifqan Ahlus Sunnah Bi-Ahlis Sunnah can be taken in two different ways:

Firstly:

(a) Benefit can be derived for them by the Salafees who should realise the danger of falling into these matters towards their Salafee brothers who make genuine mistakes and do not persist upon them. So the general idea of warning from hasty tabdee’, hajr and so on is appropriate here, as it relates to Salafees who are upon a clear aqeedah, a clear manhaj, a clear dawah and hold clear Salafee positions and build their loyalties around these affairs. So if they err and make genuine mistakes from which they are quick to recant, then the above matters should be avoided. Again this does not include the Innovators, Hizbees and Mu’mayyi’oon, who have been warned against for their corrupt methodologies and this includes Al-Ma’ribee, Al-Halabi, Al-Maghraawi and those who obstinately defend their falsehood and revile those scholars who exposed them. These people of Tamyee, as Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari stated, are from the most harmful of people against the Salafi Dawah. [See here, Shaikh Abdullaah’s speech: http://safeshare.tv/w/XIQbYMHYic ]. Pockets of these types of people are found in every land.

(b) Clarification should be made upon these generalisations so that the Innovators and Ahl ul-Ahwaa cannot cause confusion amongst the Salafees, and this is what has been done by Ahmad An-Najmi (rahimahullaah). These generalisations are still been utilised by all the Hizbiyyeen in all their forms, which is why you see that there is a great deal of nashaat (fervor, zeal) on behalf of certain factions to spread and distribute this book. This book is once again being utilized- in a deceitful manner- by those those obstinate followers of Al-Maribi, Al-Halabi, Al-Maghraawi, Ihyaa Turaath etc

Secondly:

If the Salafees want to benefit from the contents of this book to the degree that it can be benefited from, and that if they do read it, they must refer to the replies written upon this book that clarify the generalisations concerning hajr, ta’aawun, jarh, radd ‘alal mukhaalif, and whether Ibn Baz and Ibn Uthaymeen did or did not refute the opposers in their time, such as Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq, Safar and Salmaan, and Adnaan Ar’oor and so on. And this is a blessing upon every Salafee, who due to his unique and distinct manhaj, benefits from the truth whoever it comes from in all circumstances, from the old or the young, the male or the female, as opposed to the Hizbiyyeen who because of their desires and seeking of crooked ways, are only led further astray when matters like these descend upon them, and thus you see them that when the Salafees are actively involved in clarifying the manhaj these people keep quiet and do not support them (resounding with slogans of harshness, and severity etc.) but as soon as some leeway is given to all the people of Hizbiyyah on account of erroneous ijtihaads made by some from Ahl us-Sunnah, you see these very same people coming out of the woodwork and very eager to spread and propagate doubts.

Inshaa’Allaah, we will follow up this article with some sections of Shaikh Ahmad’s (rahimahullaah) clarifications on the Book Rifqan Ahlus Sunnah Bi-Ahlis Sunnah. We ask Allaah for Ikhlaas, Sidq, Thabaat and Husnul Khaatimah. Aameen.

[1] Shaikh Ubaid Unveiled the Falsehood of The Fraudulent Claimants to Salafiyyah and Proponents of Tamyee- Those attempting (once again) to Utilise ‘Rifqan Ahlus Sunnah Bi-Ahlis Sunnah’ to defend Mubtadia

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

This was a clarification by Shaykh Ubayd (may Allaah preserve him), which was a quick translation by the elder brothers and students at Salafipublications (may Allaah preserve them). You can access the audio directly from this link:

http://safeshare.tv/w/cOLObITEbR

Shaikh Ubaid stated:

I have not read the book of Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin.

I know from experience that Ahl ul-Ahwaa take whatever chance they can from some of the affairs that arise from some of Ahl us-Sunnah, then they twist it for their own benefits whereas it is not really of benefit to them.

Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin, according to the title that I have come to know, is actually advising Ahl us-Sunnah in relation to Ahl us-Sunnah. And this is a matter that is agreed upon by all of the Shaykhs that we have known, and we are upon this as well.

However we need to know who are Ahl us-Sunnah, not everyone who claims the Sunnah is actually from it.[note: such as the hizbees who are now using this book for their own agendas!]

Secondly, Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin and others, when he comes to know of a person of innovation he will show rejection upon him and his innovation [note: like he did with Safar and Salman, Ar’oor, Hasan Maalikee etc!]

Thirdly, this is a rule, the one who knows is a proof against the one who does not know, so those who spoke of Abul-Hasan spoke with evidences, proofs so clear, like the apparentness of the sun in the daytime, and they criticised his speech and actions, so those who made jarh upon him and established the evidences against him, then we have to take this from them otherwise we are people of desires. And that Scholar who has not seen what the others have seen, then we do not follow that Scholar who was ignorant of the condition of of the one who was disparaged.

Then the Shaykh gives some examples:

1. Example of Shaafi’ee’s ta’deel for Ibraaheem ibn Muhammad ibn Abee Yahyaa, but scholars made Jarh upon him and said he is not thiqah. So the tawtheeq of Shaafi’ee was not accepted and nor did this tawtheeq help the one who was declared thiqah by him [note: just like Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin’s speech for Abul-Hasan does not benefit him in anyway, for he remains a straying deceiving lying Ikhwaanee Innovator!].

  1. Example of Safar and Salman, when we (i.e. the Shaykhs of Madinah) would criticise them with proof, but Shaykh Ibn Baz and Shaykh Ibn uthaymeen and others from the Major Scholars did not say anything about them. But after 4 years, the declaration came from the Hay’ah convicting them (of errors) and advising that they be restrained.
    3. Example of Shaykh al-Albaanee used to praise Safar and Salman, give them tazkiyah and so on, but after 6 or 7 years, he spoke against them, and he admitted that “we had been hasty and the people of Madinah were more knowledgeable of the people”.

Then the Shaykh said, “distribute this discussion”.

Then after being asked about those who spread this book the Shaykh said, “This person is a person of fitnah, either a person of fitnah or one who does not know (the situation)…” Then the Shaykh added to this, “…especially when such a person spreads it amongst the general people (at large), the likes of me (i.e. the Shaykh) and you (i.e. students of knowledge), from those people who understand could read the book, but as for one who spreads it by the hundreds, to the general and specific people, in accordance with what I have said, then this is either one who is heedless (does not know) or is a person of fitnah (saahibu fitnah).”

Keeping a distance from a Mubtadi even if he has knowledge of fiqh and hadeeth-[Shaikh Fawzaan(may Allaah preserve him)] clarifies

This questioner says:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

If a student of knowledge utters innovation and calls to it, and he is one with Fiqh and (knowledge of) Hadeeth; does his speech of innovation necessitate an invalidation of his knowledge and his (knowledge) of hadeeth, and not to (benefit from) him unrestrictedly?

Answer:

Yes, he is not to be trusted; the one who is an Innovator is neither to be trusted nor his knowledge, nor (to have) a lackadaisical (stance) towards him. That is because if you (have) a lackadaisical (stance) towards him, the student will be influenced by his Shaikh-he will be influenced by his teacher. Therefore, it is obligatory to be distanced from the people of innovation, and the Salaf (pious predecessors) used to forbid (others) from sitting with the innovators, visiting and going to them; so that their evil is not spread to the one who sits with them and mixes with them.
