Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan — Salafiyyah in Brief

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Al-Allamah Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, said:

Salafiyyah is to follow the path of pious predecessors – the Sahabah, the Tabiin and the virtuous generations. Allah, The Most High, said:

وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهَـٰجِرِينَ وَٱلۡأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِـإِحۡسَـٰنٍ۬ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡہُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡهُ

And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhaajiroon (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhaajiroon) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. [at-Tawbah 100]

Allah, The Most High, said about the Sahabah:

Verily, those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard and fought with their property and their lives in the Cause of Allah as well as those who gave (them) asylum and help, – these are (all) allies to one another – up to His statement:

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَهَاجَرُواْ وَجَـٰهَدُواْ مَعَكُمۡ فَأُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ مِنكُمۡ‌ۚ

And those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove hard along with you, (in the Cause of Allah) they are of you.

Allah, Glorified be He and free is He from all Imperfections, said in Surah Al-Hashar:

(And there is also a share in this booty) for the poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property, seeking Bounties from Allah and to please Him. And helping Allaah (i.e. helping His religion) and His Messenger (Muhammad). Such are indeed the truthful (to what they say); And those who, before them, had homes (in Al-Madinah) and had adopted the Faith, love those who emigrate to them, up until the statement of the Most High: [وَٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَلِإِخۡوَٲنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلۡإِيمَـٰنِ – And those who came after them say: “Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith.]

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “This ummah will split into seventy three sects; all of them will enter the fire except one. They said, ‘which is that (saved sects) O Messenger of Allah? He replied: ‘those who are upon that which I and my companions are upon today'”. [Footnote a] The Prophet said: “Adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafaa after me”.

Therefore, Salafiyyah is the methodology that has been obligated to us to follow and we are to abandon all other methodologies that are in opposition to it. The (people of Salafiyyah) are the saved sect- Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah, and they are the aided group till the Day of Judgement. May Allah include us amongst them.

However, ascription to this methodology requires knowledge of its fundamentals in order that the Muslim may adhere to it. [One is] required to have knowledge of the other methodologies that are in opposition to Salafiyyah in order to avoid them. Therefore, Salafiyyah upon the path of the pious predecessors has to be upon knowledge and clear sightedness. It is not enough for a person to ascribe himself to [Salafiyyah] while ignorant of it or being in opposition to it. For this reason, Allah said:[ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِـإِحۡسَـٰنٍ۬ – And also those who followed them exactly (in Faith)].
They follow based on knowledge- neither fall into extremism nor negligence.

They neither exaggerate nor fail to give the matter its right like those who ascribe themselves to the Madhabs of the four Imams whilst being in opposition to them in creed and worship. And like the one who ascribes himself to the methodology of the Salaf, yet he either declares the Muslims to be disbelievers or rebels against the Muslim rulers, or he follows other orientations towards extremism. This person is not a Salafi, rather he is named a khariji or a Mutazili. Or like the one who ascribes himself to the methodology of the Salaf, but utters the the statements of the Murji’ah in the subject of Iman and Kufr. This is not Salafiyyah. Therefore, it is obligatory to pay attention to this matter and not to mix the Salafi methodology with the other methodologies that are in opposition to it, and then says, “All these methodologies are not from Islam”. This is reckless speech, an oppressive judgement and deception against the people.

Reflections from some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Mad’khali – [97]

The Shaikh, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

All praise is due to Allah; we seek His assistance and forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls and from the evils of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, there is none to misguide him, and whomever He allows to astray (due to their own fault), there is none to guide him. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship, except Allah, alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

To proceed: The most truthful speech is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The worst of matters are those that are newly invented (in the religion), and every newly invented matter (in the religion) is a Bidah, every Bidah is misguidance, and every misguidance leads to the Fire.

Welcome, beloved ones, to this blessed gathering, for which we ask Allah, the Blessed and Most High, to bestow upon us success – within it – in articulating the truth and achieving what is right, and to make the listeners receptive and their hearts aware, and to make everyone among those who listen to the speech and follow the best of it. In this gathering, I would like to speak to you about two very important matters.

The first of the two matters: The motivation (urge) to adhere to the book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The second matter: The motivation (urge) to cultivate brotherhood for the sake of Allah and to love one another for His sake. Both are crucial elements for the establishment of the call to the path of Allah, the Blessed and Most High.

As for the first matter, there are numerous verses that urge obedience to Allah and His Messenger, to follow the Book and this noble Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, and adhering to the rope of Allah and holding fast to it. The second matter is reported in many hadiths that urge towards having love for Allah and making very clear the status of loving one another for the sake of Allah, the Blessed and Most High. I hope that these two matters receive utmost attention from the Salafi youth everywhere, and that Salafis everywhere recognise the importance of these two matters.

Among the statements made by Allah, the Blessed and Most High, concerning the urge towards the first matter, is the command for this entire Ummah to steadfastly adhere to His rope. This is a collective obligation that Muslims are required to fulfill, which includes beliefs, acts of worship, politics, economics, manners, and issues related to the belief in Allah, the Blessed and Most High, and His attributes, as well as those pertaining to the Day of Judgment, from the Barzakh until the Day of Resurrection, the crossing of the Sirat, and the accountability for recompense, among other matters. These issues must be thoroughly comprehended by a Muslim and should always be in his awareness, guided by the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

There is no honour, happiness, or dignity for the Ummah in this worldly life or the hereafter, except through the fulfillment of this obligatory matter, which is to collectively hold firmly to the rope of Allah and to avoid division. When there is sincerity towards Allah, along with submission to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, His Book, and the Sunnah of His Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, division does not happen and cannot happen. Instead, division arises and a distancing from adhering to the rope of Allah occurs due to the pursuit of desires and a failure to adhere to the rope of Allah, the Blessed and Most High, as well as a lack of enthusiasm in this regard. Neglecting this great principle results in severe evils in both this worldly life and the hereafter, consequences that are clearly observable by every rational and fair-minded individual; dire consequences that Muslims are currently experiencing, along with perilous outcomes stemming from the failure to fulfill this great command and the associated texts of the Book and the Sunnah. We seek refuge in Allah from misguidance and from following desires that lead to fragmentation, division, enmity, and hatred, and Allah’s refuge is sought.

A brief dialogue with the African Muslim regarding Pan-Africanism

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Tawhid – The Original Religion of Humankind

Allah, The Most High, stated:

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ

And I did not create the jinns and humans except to worship Me. I desire not from them any provision, and nor do I desire that they feed Me. (On the contrary), it is Allāh who is the Great Provider, the possessor of mighty strength. [Adh-Dhariyat 56-58] [1]

Allah said:

And verily, We have sent among every nation a Messenger (saying): Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) from all false deities, i.e. do not worship anything besides Allah. ” Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). [An-Nahl. 36]

Allah said:

Mankind were one community and Allah sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed. And only those to whom (the Scripture) was given differed concerning it after clear proofs had come unto them through hatred, one to another. Then Allah by His Leave guided those who believed to the truth of that wherein they differed. And Allah guides whom He wills to a Straight Path. [Al-Baqarah. 213]

Allah said:

Mankind were but one community (i.e. on one religion – Islamic Monotheism), then they differed (later), and had not it been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord, it would have been settled between them regarding what they differed]. [Yunus. 19]

Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, said:

Between Nuh and Adam, all of them used to be upon the true path [worshipping Allah alone], then they differed and started worshipping idols, false deities and images, then Allah sent Messengers with clear proofs and evidences. [2]

Shirk first started amongst the people of Nuh when they exaggerated (the status) of the righteous people and turned away from the call of their Prophet [Nuh] out of pride. They said: “You shall not leave your gods, nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa’, nor Yaghuth, nor Ya’uq, nor Nasr”. [Nuh. Ayah 23]

Imam Al-Bukhari, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

It has been narrated from Ibn Abbas that these were the names of pious people amongst the people of Nuh, and when they died, Shaytan inspired their people to (prepare) and place idols at the places where they used to sit, and to call those idols by their names. They did so, but did not worship them until those people (who initiated them) had died and the origin of the idols had become obscure, whereupon people began worshipping them”. [3]

All prophets and messengers were Muslims as they submitted to Allah and worshipped Him alone without ascribing partners to Him in worship. Read here: https://salafidawah.uk/2020/10/18/one-must-call-himself-a-muslim-if-he-truly-follows-the-path-of-the-prophets-and-messengers/

This is the faith that Allah designated for both humanity and Jinn, aligning perfectly with the sound innate disposition. Allah said:

So, set you “O Muhammad” your face towards the religion of pure Islamic Monotheism, worshipping Allah alone by devoting all forms of worship purely for Him. The natural state which Allah determined and upon which He created and moulded mankind. Let there be no change in the creation of Allah “Islamic Monotheism. That is the straight religion, but most of men do not know. [Ar-Rum 30]

Iyaa Ibn Himar, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

Verily, my Lord has commanded me to teach you what you do not know, from what he has taught me this day, “All wealth I bestowed upon them is lawful. I have created all of My servants inclined to worship me alone, but devils come to them who turn them away from their religion. They outlaw what has been made lawful for them, and they command them to associate partners with Me for which no authority has been revealed”. Verily, Allah looked at the people of the earth and He detested all of them, Arabs and non-Arabs alike, except for remnants of the people of the Book”. [Ṣaḥīh Muslim 2865]

All of humanity, the descendants of Adam and Hawa, were created with the purpose of worshiping Allah alone. Throughout history, Allah has sent messengers to guide us back to this divine path whenever we have strayed, often due to the deceptions of shaytan. In light of this truth, the only course left for us is to follow the final Prophet, Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. In this context, concepts like colonization or decolonization become irrelevant; what truly matters is the religion established by our Creator. Ultimately, individuals have been given the free will to choose to submit to Islam, worship Allah alone and follow His last Prophet, Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. They are not forced or coerce, but if they choose other than Islam, they have made a choice for which they will be held accountable in the Hereafter. Allah said:

There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in all false deities and believes in Allah (by worshipping Him alone), he has indeed grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. [Al-Baqarah 256]

Allah said:

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. [Aal Imran 85]

Therefore, what is essential to understand is that an individual faces a choice: to either adhere to the traditions of ancestors after the arrival of the Prophets and Messengers or to wholeheartedly submit to the path of Prophets and Messengers, with Muhammad being the final Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon all of them. True beliefs must align with the revelations given to the Prophets and Messengers, rather than the customs of forebears that contradict their teachings. Sadly, some African Americans and African intellectuals have attempted to muddy this straightforward issue. As African Muslims, we are called to follow the path of the final Prophet in both belief and practice, just like any Muslim around the globe. Cultural customs from any group, whether Arab or non-Arab, are acceptable as long as they do not conflict with the final divine message. It is perfectly fine for individuals from different backgrounds to adopt and celebrate the cultural practices of others, provided these do not contradict the final revelation. We will share insights from scholars on this topic shortly, but for now, it is crucial to reiterate that one must choose between the path of the final Prophet or the ancestral traditions that stand in opposition to divine guidance. Historically, the latter has been a common fallacy among nations when Messengers urged them to return to the right path. Al-Allamah Salih al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, stated:

Indeed, polytheistic (practices and beliefs) have become rife within this Ummah due to detachment from (he teachings of)the Qur’an and the Sunnah, blindly following ancestors without proper guidance, elevating the status of deceased figures by constructing (shrines and tombs) over their graves, and due to being ignorant of the islam that Allah instructed His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, as Umar Ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “The very foundations of Islam will crumble one by one when a generation arises that is unaware of the ignorance that preceded Islam.” Furthermore, the proliferation of Shubhah—doubts that masquerade as truth but are fundamentally false—has led many astray. Among these misconceptions is the argument used by those who engage in Shirk, both in the past and present, claiming legitimacy by adhering to the beliefs of their forefathers. Allah said:

And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad) to any town (people) but the luxurious ones among them said: “We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps.” [Az-zukhruf 23]

Therefore, following ancestors is only praiseworthy if they were upon the truth. Allah [The Most High] said that Yusuf, peace be upon him, said:

And I have followed the religion of my fathers, – Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac) and Ya’qub (Jacob), and never could we attribute any partners whatsoever to Allah. This is from the Grace of Allah to us and to mankind, but most men thank not (i.e. they neither believe in Allah, nor worship Him). [Yusuf. 38]

This doubt was embedded in the souls of the polytheists and they utilised it to oppose the call of the Prophets. Allah said:

And indeed We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people, and he said: “O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him (Islamic Monotheism). Will you not then be afraid (of Him i.e. of His Punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?” But the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people said: “He is no more than a human being like you, he seeks to make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing among our fathers of old]. [Al-Muminoon. 23-24]

So, they used as proof that which their ancestors were upon to oppose that which their Prophet Nuh brought. Allah informed us that the people of Sali said to him: “Do you (now) forbid us the worship of what our fathers have worshipped?”[Hud. 62]

The people of Shu’aib said: “Does your Salat (prayer) (i.e. the prayers which you offer has spoiled your mind, so you) command that we leave off what our fathers used to worship]. [Hud. 87]

Allah informed us about Ibraheem and his people when he silenced them with clear proofs: “What do you worship?” They said: “We worship idols, and to them we are ever devoted”. He said: “Do they hear you, when you call (on them)? “Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?” They said: “Nay, but we found our fathers doing so”. [Ash-Shu’ara 70-74]

This is the nature of disbelief! Its people do not have any proof by way of which to repel the truth except these flimsy proofs. [4]

Therefore, a sensible individual understands the reasons behind the misdirection of nations, which often stems from prioritizing the traditions of their ancestors over the teachings of Allah’s Messengers. If you were to inquire about the beliefs of our ancestors from 2000 years ago, we would struggle to categorize them as polytheists, Christians, or Jews. However, what we do know with absolute certainty is that Allah sent Messengers to every nation, including Prophet Isa, peace be upon him, who preached the oneness of Allah, Tawhid. Following his time, Allah sent Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to both Arabs and non-Arabs, addressing all of humanity and even the Jinn. If you were to ask again about the faith of our forefathers during Muhammad’s era, we could only guess based on the historical accounts regarding that region of West Africa. However, what we do know is that Allah sent Muhammad as the final Messenger, and many sincere followers of the Scriptures acknowledged his Prophethood and accepted Islam. This historical fact is well established. Subsequently, Islam spread throughout Africa, leading to our birth into Muslim families by the Will of Allah. Islam is practiced independently of ancestral customs that contradict divine revelation. This approach does not equate to succumbing to Arab colonialism. Whether it stems from African, Arab, European, or any other cultural background, any practice that stands in opposition to divine revelation is not embraced.

The Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said,

“Indeed, Allah [The Most High] has removed from you the pride of the pre-Islamic period and its boasting about ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a wretched sinner. You are sons of Adam and Adam (was created from) dust. Let the people abandon boasting about their ancestors, for they are merely fuel in Jahannam; or they will become more insignificant in (the sight of) Allah than the beetle which rolls dung with its nose”. [5]

The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] said: “Whoever is held back by his deeds, his (nobility) of lineage will not push him forward”Imam An-Nawawi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

“Its meaning is that the one whose deeds are deficient and he does not catch up with the performers of (good) deeds, then it is obligatory upon him not to crown himself with nobility of lineage and the virtues of his forefathers, whilst he is lagging behind in (performing good) deeds”. [6]

Imam Abdul Azeez Bin Baz [may Allah have mercy upon him] said:

“It is obligated to every Muslim that he does not depend on custom; rather he presents it to the pure Islamic legislation (to be judged), so whatever the Islamic legislation affirms is permissible and whatever it does not affirm is impermissible. The customs of the people are not proof to determine the lawfulness of anything. All the customs of the people in their countries or tribes must be presented to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] for judgement, so whatever Allah and His Messenger made permissible is permissible, and whatever they forbid, then it is obligatory to abandon it even if it is the custom of the people”. [7]

Imam Muhammad Bin Salih Al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

“The customs cannot make something that is not legislated (in the divine revelation) as something legislated, because of Allah’s statement: [ It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, etc.) that you enter the houses from the back] [Surah Al-Baqarah. 189], despite the fact that it was something they took as their custom and considered it to be an act of righteousness. Whoever takes something as a custom and believes that it is an act of righteousness, then it should be presented to Allah’s divine legislation [i.e. to be judged]”. [8]

Imam Muhammad Bin Salih Al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, also said:

“Extremism in related to customs is stringent adherence to old customs and not diverting to what is better than them. As for if the customs are equal in benefit [i.e. the ones judged to be permissible by the divine legislation], then a person remaining upon what he is upon would be better than going along with the new (or emerging) customs”. [9]

It’s undeniable that Allah sent Prophets and Messengers and provided Scriptures to lead humanity, culminating in the final message delivered by Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon all of them. Various nations, tribes, and clans accepted Islam, with non-Arabs emerging as significant leaders and scholars. Al-Allamah Salih Aala Ash-Shaikh, may Allah safeguard him, stated:

“When the Muslims conquered the different regions of the earth and Islam spread, the affair became as if it started from the non-Arabs, until the people of Persia and other non-Arabs became the scholars and the Imams of the mosques, and people acquired knowledge from them. It is recorded in Islamic history that many non-Arabs led the Muslims in knowledge, in issuing religious verdicts and many affairs. Take for example Abu Hanifah, may Allah have mercy on him, who was not an Arab, and Imam Al-Bukhari [may Allah have mercy on him] and how his book became an upright example, and there’s none amongst the Muslims except that he (or she) knows Imam Abu Abdillah Muhammad Bin Ismaa’eel Al-Bukhari. And consider other examples – besides Al-Bukhari and Abu Hanifah – amongst the Imams of Islam.

So when Islam came with its implementation, it abolished the differences that were initiated by the people and those non-Arabs became the leaders and Imams of the Arabs; why? Because they carried the religion, raised the banner of pure Islamic monotheism – there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and because there is no distinction in virtue between a non-Arab and an Arab, except through fear of Allah. When the Muslims disciplined themselves with Islam, there was no dispute between them regarding social class by way of that pre-Islamic dispute and distinction, because indeed neither did they accept leadership nor give precedence to anyone based on this; rather they accepted everyone because people are equal in this affair. Quraish’s rulership, the Umayyad rulership and the Abbasid rulership ended; then the rulership of the Mamluks arose and thereafter the rulership of Banee Uthman – meaning in the beginning when it was upright; so the Muslims obeyed them and they became the leaders and rulers, because the Muslims saw that there was welfare for the people in doing so (based on the texts of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and understanding of the Sahabah). Therefore, class differentiation and its practice was abolished from the beginning; rather no one had any reservation in implementing Islam. So, Islamic history attests to the implementation of this great principle [i.e. sound equality]”. [10]

The subsequent decline and stagnation can be attributed to a deviation from the fundamental tenets of Islam, which has given rise to numerous challenges, including tribalism and various societal dilemmas. Read: https://abukhadeejah.com/state-of-ummah-causes-of-weakness-means-of-rectification-ebook/

However, it is essential to recognise that Muslim scholars have remained acutely aware of these issues throughout Islamic history and continue to engage with them in contemporary discourse. The blame does not lie with Islam itself, despite the misguided assertions of some ignoramuses and certain pan-Africanists advocating for a so-called decolonisation of religion. Such claims reveal a profound ignorance, as they overlook the original faith bestowed by the Creator and fail to address the true root of the problem: a departure from pure monotheism and the teachings of the Prophets, the last of whom is Muhammad. Furthermore, it is important to acknowledge that regardless of an individual’s chosen faith, they will be held accountable for their choices after the Prophets and Messengers have conveyed the message of Islamic Monotheism. However, any form of oppression against people is unequivocally condemned regardless of the race, social status or religion of the victims. The Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said that Allah, The Almighty, said: “O My servants, I have forbidden injustice for Myself and I have forbidden it among you, so do not oppress one another”. [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2577]

The Messenger said: “Whoever would love to be delivered from Hellfire and admitted into Paradise, let him meet his end with faith in Allah and the Last Day, and let him treat people as he would love to be treated.” [Muslim 1844]

It is of utmost significance that any sense of injustice directed towards our race, clan, tribe, or nation does not disrupt our bond with Allah as Muslims. We must resist the allure of pan-Africanist ideologies that may lead us astray and jeopardize our eternal well-being under the guise of pride. Instead, let us embrace a path of piety rooted in the final revelation, for it is the true avenue to salvation. Allah said:

O mankind, We have created you from a male (Ādam) and female (Eve) (making you all of equal lineage) and We made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another (and fulfil each other’s rights). Verily, the most honourable of you with Allāh is the most pious of you (and not the noblest in lineage or most affluent) (so do not be boastful and belittle others). Indeed, Allāh is all-Knowing, all-Aware.[11]

Allah said:

That home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who rebel not against the truth with pride and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the pious.[Al-Qasas 83]

Those who depart from this world while associating partners with Allah in worship or rejecting Allah and His final Messenger, without repentance, will face eternal failure. Allah has stated:

Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) there are no helpers. [Al-Ma’idah 72]

Allah said:

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. [Aal Imran 85]

Indeed, there is nothing wrong with either a Muslim or a non-Muslim standing up against oppression and exploitation. Therefore, we assert without hesitation that Africa has the right to call for an end to the post-colonial oppressive systems, just as they stood resolutely against the brutality and greed of colonialists during the colonial period. We agree wholeheartedly that Africa should not be subjected to exploitation through so-called financial aid, foreign military bases, sanctions, debt, NGOs, unequal trade, loans, and so forth. We also support the view that both African and Asian nations have the right to seek liberation from oppression through debt restructuring, strategic partnerships, diversified economies, de-dollarization, fair negotiations, food security, Agro-processing, solar energy, information technology, state-owned mines, pharmaceuticals, and more. It is a fact that other nations have pursued these initiatives for their economic stability, and similarly, Africa and others have the right to do the same. This is simply common sense and does not necessitate adherence to pan-Africanism or any other ideology that contradicts the final revelation ordained by the Creator, for which He will reward or punish humanity and Jinn in the Hereafter. Thus, we clearly state that the oppression and exploitation of African or Asian countries must cease. Our responsibility as African Muslims is to call our societies to Tawhid and Sunnah, following the path of the righteous predecessors, while also addressing any injustices faced by people. All praise is due to Allah for guiding us to Islam, which is indeed enough as a blessing. And Allah knows best.

Some Eristic Debates By Some Zionists and Christians Regarding Jesus Since The Outset of the Conflict in Gaza

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَيَعْفُوا۟ عَن كَثِيرٍ قَدْ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَٰبٌ مُّبِينٌ

O people of the Scripture! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad ) explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light (Prophet Muhammad) and a plain Book (this Quran). Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His Will unto light and guides them to a Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism). New publication expected in two weeks InShaAllah

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

NB: There is a mistake in the title: It should be “The Effect of The Acts of Worship On a Muslim’s Life”.

Few weeks ago, while heading home after work with our Salafi brother, close friend, confidant, and colleague, Ustadh Abu Tasneem, Mushaf Al-Banghali, may Allah preserve him, we discussed the passing of the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah. He brought up Al-Allamah Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbad, highlighting him as one of the senior scholars who deserves constant mention due to his extensive knowledge and years dedicated to teaching and guiding the Ummah. We remembered that we had previously purchased a small risaalah by the Shaikh at a bookstore in Birmingham, which I had paraphrased and summarised several times on this website.

Upon returning home, we resolved to restart a full translation of it for Salaficentre once more. After doing our best to translate, we sought the help of Ustadh Zaid Khalid, may Allah preserve him, who kindly listened to our reading of the English translation while comparing it with the Arabic version and provided invaluable edits. May Allah bless him and increase him in beneficial knowledge and righteous actions.

Additionally, we ask Allah to bless our beloved younger brother and friend, Abdul Haqq Shabir, may Allah preserve him, for taking time outside of his work hours to format the treatise. Furthermore, may Allah bless our beloved brother and colleague Mubin Zaher for assisting with the proofreading. Last but not least, may Allah bless everyone, especially those specific brothers in Stoke-On-Trent and Manchester, and they would hate to be mentioned, who generously donated funds to Salaficentre for the printing of the first 500 copies of this treatise. We ask Allah to bless their wealth and grant them success in all their endeavours. InshaAllah, this treatise titled “The Effect of The Acts of Worship On a Muslim’s Life” will be available in two weeks InShaaAllah.

In the treatise, we included some details as footnotes from Imām Muḥammad bin Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn’s explanation of the three fundamental principles, and the explanation of the same book by al-ʿAllāmah ʿUbaid bin ʿAbdillāh al-Jābirī. We also took some footnotes from at- Tawassul of Imām Al-Albānī, notes from al-ʿAllāmah Ṣāliḥ Āl Al-Shaikh, Imām ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Bin Bāz’s website, Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī, and notes from Zād al-Maʿād of Imām Ibn al-Qayyim, along with some links to Shaikh Abū Khadeejah’s website.

Furthermore, we included the Arabic text of al-ʿAllāmah ʿAbdul-Muḥsin’s speech so that readers can point out any errors in the English translation compared to the Arabic, which we will correct in future editions InShaAllah. We remember Shaikh Abū Talḥah, may Allah have mercy upon him and his wife, telling us in 2006: “Whenever I review one of my translations, I always notice that there are ways I could improve them.” If this is the perspective of such a skilled translator, an upright and bonafide student of knowledge, what can we say thereafter?

With regards to the text of the treatise itself, it discusses the purpose of life, which is to worship Allāh alone, along with some fundamentals of Islām. The Shaikh starts by defining al-ʿIbādah (worship) comprehensively and outlining some of its various types. He then highlights the two essential conditions of worship: Al-Ikhlāṣ (sincerity) and al-Mutābaʿah (following the path of the Messenger), linking them to the declaration of faith: ‘none has the right to be worshipped except Allāh and Muḥammad is Allāh’s Messenger.’

Next, the Shaikh cites Sharīʿah texts that emphasise the importance of worship, fear of Allāh, and repentance, along with some of their great effects in this life and the hereafter. He then discusses specific acts of worship, such as Prayer, which help Muslims avoid evil and immorality, and help them to maintain a constant awareness of their Lord throughout the day. He mentioned Zakāt, which purifies the believer’s soul and aids the poor in society. He further elaborates on fasting, its powerful effects in controlling desires, and the Prophet’s advice for the youth.

Lastly, he covers Ḥajj, some of its most important rituals, and its connections to the afterlife, including reflections on the day of ʿArafah, and the wearing of ihrām. The Shaikh also emphasises the bonds of brotherhood formed during Ḥajj and the opportunity to meet Muslims from various parts of the world. Most importantly, he clearly explains aspects of pure Islamic monotheism found in Ḥajj and its contrary. This treatise serves as a vital reminder of some of the core principles of our faith; and, by Allāh’s will, helps Muslims understand some of the effects of worship, making them more aware and prepared before engaging in worship. May Allāh preserve the Shaikh, the erudite scholar, the muḥaddith, ʿAbdul-Muhḥsin al-ʿAbbād al-Badr for this insightful treatise, and may He preserve the major scholars who are beacons of light, the likes of the Muftī; ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Āl al-Shaikh, ʿAllāmah Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān, ʿAllāmah Ṣāliḥ Āl al-Shaikh — and have mercy upon those who have passed away, from the likes of: ʿAllāmah Rabīʿ bin Hādī, ʿAllāmah Ubaid al-Jābirī, and ʿAllāmah Ṣāliḥ al-Luhaidān, their contemporaries and students.

NB: This treatise has been translated for Dawah purposes. Neither the translator nor anyone else involved holds any rights or royalties concerning its publication; it is exclusively owned by Salaficentre for the aim of Dawah.

Reflections on some statements of Al-Allamah Rabee Bin Hadi Al-Mad’khali [94]

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Being mindful of Ahlul Bidah– hating and boycotting them- is the correct path to protect Ahlus Sunnah against falling into their fitnah.  And to be lackadaisical about them- to harbour a good suspicion of them and inclining towards them- is the beginning of the path towards misguidance and deviation. Allah said:

And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the fire should touch you. [Hud. 113]

Who is more unjust than Ahlul Bidah?  Ahlul Bidah are more evil than the sinners, and due to this the jurist of Basra and the most intelligent of them- Salam Bin Abee Mutee, may Allah have mercyu upon him – said, “It is more beloved to me that I meet Allah with the scroll of Hajjaj than meet Him with the scroll of Amr Ibn Ubaid”.

Amr Ibn Ubaid was a devote worshipper and one who abandoned the unnecessary permissible pleasures of the worldly life MashaaAllah, but he was misguided and a Mubtadi, while Hajjaj was an evil doer, one who shed blood and a criminal.  He [Salam Bin Abee Mutee] held that if he were to make a choice between meeting Allah with the scroll of Hajjaj and that of Amr Ibn Ubaid, he would choose to meet Allah with the scroll of Hajjaj- the blood shedder and oppressive evil doer.  And why is this? Due to his realisation regarding the danger and ugliness of bidah. And it is sufficient for us that the Messenger, peace and blessing of Allah be upon him, described [bidah] in his khutbah as the worst of all affairs, as reported in Jabir’s hadith.

Mathilda, do you remember the “Friendship Song?!”

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah [The Exalted] says:

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَزۡوَٲجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعۡيُنٍ۬ وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

And those who say: “Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun (the pious people). [Surah al-Furqan. Ayah 74]

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: They ask Allah to grant them the comfort of the eye by making their wives and offspring obedient to Allah, grant them happiness in their hearts due to being followed by the righteous in obedience and servitude to Allah. [1]

Allah, The Exalted, says:

And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in faith, We will join their offspring with them, and We will not decrease the (reward) for their deeds in anything. Every person is held in pledge (only) for that which he (or she) has earned. [2]

Rational individuals would aspire for what is mentioned in the verses above; however, there are those among the Jews, Muslims and Christians who cultivate a mindset steeped in tyranny and brutality.

First, some Zionists composed a song as “The Friendship Song,” and disseminated by a certain Zionist online news platform before it was subsequently taken down. Below is a passage from this.

“Here the IDF is crossing the line; to annihilate the swastika bearers; in another year there will be nothing there; and we will return safely to our home within a year; we will annihilate them all, and then return to ploughing our fields”. [end of quote]

Mathilda stated:

Regarding the particular organization identified as Shiite, the creed of the Rafidah Shiites are well known, thus requiring no further explanation. https://abukhadeejah.com/the-devils-deception-of-the-raafidah-shiah/

Concerning the separation of boys and girls, whether advocated by Christians, Jews, or any other groups to promote modesty and deter immorality, no one should face censure for this practice, as it is commendable, much like the encouragement to dress modestly as prescribed by the Creator. For any reasonable observer, the concern shouldn’t revolve around segregation and dress code, as these aspects are unrelated to extremism and radicalisation. Millions of Muslims practice segregation between the two biological sexes and follow the appropriate Islamic dress code, yet they do not advocate for violence, engage in vandalism, or support any form of racist ideology. The real question is whether anyone has violated the laws of the land. If a community – due to their beliefs – prefers – in their own environment or where they are given the choice by others – not to mix with the opposite sex, only a bigot would seek to attack them. [Footnote a] However, if they are forced to free mix, they have a right to explore alternatives, as single-sex educational institutions are available globally, including in the UK. Therefore, as long as individuals are not violating the law or have pursued lawful alternatives, they should not be held accountable. Furthermore, there is no additional statement to be made regarding this group, whether they have breached the law or not, since it is understood that such issues would be addressed between the relevant authorities and the organisation in question. As for Mathilda and the others, they too need to take care of their backyard, as it is there that we discover the genocidal maniac and his accomplices. Read below:

Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. [Yaa Seen. 12]

Imam As-Sadi, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: It is the good and evil outcomes about which they were the cause of its occurrence during their lifetime and after their death, and those deeds that emanated from their statements, deeds, and circumstances. [3]

The most defiant person in their resistance against Allah’s Messenger

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allah, The Most High, said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet.

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

When it is the case that Allah forbade us from giving precedence to (ourselves) over the Messenger, then which type of giving precedence to oneself over the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, can be more severe than giving precedence to one’s intellect over the revelation he was sent with? Many of the pious predecessors have stated that this Ayah means: “Do not say anything (about the religion) until the Messenger speaks and do not act until he commands you”. The most disobedient person among the people and the most severe with regards to giving precedence to himself over the Messenger is the one who gives precedence to his intellect or the intellect of another person over the revelation. And when it is the case that Allah has forbidden them (i.e. humankind) from raising their voices above the voice of the Messenger, then how about raising their intellects above the statements of the Messenger and the revelation he conveyed?! (1)

Allah (The Most High) said:

Make not the calling of the Messenger (Muhammad) among you as your calling of one another. Allah knows those of you who slip away under shelter (of some excuse without taking the permission to leave, from the Messenger). And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements, etc.) (among the sects) beware, lest some Fitnah befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them. [An-Noor. 63]

Allah said: [فَلۡيَحۡذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنۡ أَمۡرِهِۦۤ -And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah, orders, acts of worship, statements) beware]; [أَن تُصِيبَہُمۡ فِتۡنَةٌ – lest some Fitnah befall them]: Meaning: [Lest] misguidance, calamity in the worldly life or disbelief befall them. [أَوۡ يُصِيبَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ – or a painful torment be inflicted on them]: Meaning: Killed [i.e. by enemies] in the worldly life or punished in the hell fire in the afterlife. (2)

Imam Ahmad, may Allah have mercy upon him, said about this Ayah: Do you know what Al-Fitnah is? Al-Fitnah is Shirk. Perhaps if he [i.e. the person] rejects some of his [i.e. the Prophet’s] statements, then something of deviation enters his heart, so he is destroyed. (3)

Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

All praise is due to Allah, who in every age and interval between the Prophets, raises up a group from the people of knowledge, who call the misguided to guidance, patiently bear ill-treatment and harm. With the Book of Allah they give life to the dead and with the Light of Allah they give sight to the blind. How many a person killed by Iblees (the Devil) they have revived, how beautiful their effect has been upon the people, and how vile the people have been towards them! They remove from Allah’s Book the alterations of those going beyond bounds, the false claims of the liars and the false interpretations of the ignoramus- those who uphold the banner of Bidah and let loose the trials and discords, who oppose the Book and agree upon opposing the Book. They speak about Allah and his Book without knowledge, argue about what is ambiguous in the Book and deceive the ignorant ones with such ambiguities. We seek refuge in Allah from the trials of the misguided ones. (4)

Clarification regarding Tijaniyyah – By Al-Allamah Abdur Rahman Ifreeqee – Part 1

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Al-Allamah Abdur Rahman Al-Afreeqee, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated:

He (i.e. Ahmad Tijani) said in Jawaahir Al-Ma’aanee: Indeed a single utterance of ‘Salatul Faatiha’ is equal to every ‘Tasbeeh’ (i.e. to say Subhaanallaah) that takes place in the ‘kawn’ (i.e. the entire existence or universe). [Source: Jawaahir Al-Ma’aanee page: 96.

Response to the above claim of Ahmad Tijani:

Then Al-Allaamah Abdur Rahman stated:

I think the one who uttered this speech is not really aware who Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is! He is not really aware of what Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was sent with and why Muhammad was sent.

Indeed the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, definitely fulfilled the trust he was entrusted with; conveyed the message and strove in the path of Allah until he passed away.  He is the seal of the Prophets and the legislation (in belief and acts of worship) he conveyed abrogates every other law until the day of judgement. There is no human being who has ever brought anything similar to what the Messenger Muhammad  brought after he left this world. Whoever claims that there is a revelation or that he has received revelation after Muhammad, then indeed this is the greatest lie against Allah.  Allah, The Most High, said:

And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: “This is lawful and this is forbidden,” so as to invent lies against Allah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allah will never prosper.  A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment.’’ [An-Nahl. 116-117]

The Prophet said:

And the best thing said by me and the previous prophets is: ”There is no deity worthy of worship other than Allah, who is alone, having no partner. His is the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He is, of everything, All-Capable.”  [Silsilah As-Sahihah. Number: 1503]

Therefore, will anyone with a sound intellect affirm that a single utterance of Salatul Fatiha is better than a single Dhikr that has been transmitted from the Prophet with an authentic chain of transmission, let alone all the Adhkaar (supplications) that take place in the Kawn (i.e. the entire existence or universe)?  Do you not use your intellects?! O people! Did they [Adam, Nuh, Musaa, Eesaa and Muhammad (peace be upon them)] not used to remember Allaah? So is the innovator of this Tareeqah Tijaaniyyah better than these Prophets?

He (i.e. Ahmad Tijaani) stated in Al-Ifaadah (page: 80): ”Whoever does not believe that it (i.e. Salatul Fatihah) is from the Qur’aan will not receive a reward from it [i.e. he or she will not be rewarded for reciting Salatul Fatiha]”.

So we say: Whoever believes that (Salatul Fatiha) is from the Qur’an, then indeed he has committed clear disbelief because revelation is not sent down except to a Prophet. We do not find this (Salatul Fatiha) in the Qur’an; rather not even in a fabricated hadeeth attributed to Allah’s Messenger.  Is the one to whom ‘Salatul Fatiha’ was revealed a Prophet or a Wali?  If he is a Wali, then revelation is never sent down to a Wali.

The people in this Tijani path are two types of people: The first group: If they believe that ‘Salatul Fatiha’ is from the Qur’an, then indeed they have exited the fold of Islam. (I) The second group: If they believe that ‘Salatul Fatiha’ is not from the Qur’an, then indeed they have exited from their Tijani path because there is no reward in it. (1)

Knowledge of The Unseen – A Brief Rebuttal Against All The Extremist Sufis

Neither Do the Prophets, Messengers and Angels Possess Knowledge of Unseen nor Does Allah Reveal the Unseen to Anyone Else, Except What He Wishes to Inform the Prophets and Messengers

Allah (The Most High) said: [وَعِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا هُوَ – And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He].

In his explanation of the above Ayah, Imaam Ash-Shanqeetee, may Allah have mercy upon him, brought a number of robust proofs to demonstrate and establish that even the most knowledgeable amongst the creation- Allah’s Messengers and Angels-do not posses knowledge of the Unseen. The Imam, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Proof A: Aa’isha (may Allah be pleased with her] was falsely accused and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] did not know whether she was innocent or not until Allah informed him, saying: [ أُولَٰئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ- ‘Such (good people) are innocent of (each and every) bad statement which they say].

Proof B: Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him,  slaughtered a lamb for the angels, whilst not knowing that they were angels until they informed him that they were angels. Allah said that the angels said to him: [إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ    – We have been sent against the people of Lout (Lot). (11:70)]

Proof C: When the angels came to Prophet Lut (peace be upon him), he did not know that they were angels, and due to that Allah said: [عَصِيبٌ سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ – He was grieved on their account and felt himself straitened for them (lest the town people should approach them to commit lewdness with them). He said: This is a distressful day]. And because of this Allah said that lut said: [لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ  – Would that I had strength (men) to overpower you, or that I could betake myself to some powerful support (to resist you). (11:80)]. He did not know the news the angels brought until they said to him: [إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ – Verily, we are the Messengers from your Lord!]

Proof D: Prophet Ya’qub, peace be upon him, lost his eye sight due to grieving for Yusuf (peace be upon him), whilst he was in Egypt.  He did not know anything about Yusuf until Allah reveal news about him.

Proof E: Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him), even though Allah gave him authority over the devils and subjugated the wind in his service, did not know about the people Bilqees until the Hud-hud came with news about them. Allah said that the Hud-hud said: [أَحَطْتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ  – I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Saba’ (Sheba) with true news].

Proof F: Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) did not know that his son – who was drowned- was not from those members of his household who were to be saved, as Allah said that Nuh said: [رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ   – O my Lord! Verily, my son is of my family! And certainly, Your Promise is true.(11:45)]

He did not know the reality of the affair until Allah informed him, saying:

[بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ إِنِّي أَعِظُكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ قَالَ يَا نُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ ۖ فَلَا تَسْأَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ  – He said: “O Nuh (Noah)! Surely, he is not of your family; verily, his work is unrighteous, so ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be one of the ignorant].

And indeed Allah (The Most High) also stated in Surah Hud about Nuh that he said to his people: [وَلَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ -And I do not say to you that with me are the Treasures of Allah, “Nor that I know the Ghaib (unseen)].

Proof G: And when Allah said to the Angels:  [هَٰؤُلَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ -Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful]; Allah said that the angels replied: [قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلَّا مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا  -They (angels) said: “Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us.

Therefore, it is very clear that the most knowledgeable amongst the creation, the Messengers and the Angels, do not know anything of the unseen except what Allah makes known to them. Allah (The Most High) informs His Messengers what He wishes from the knowledge of the Unseen, as Allah stated:

[وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِنْ رُسُلِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ- Nor will Allah disclose to you the secrets of the Ghaib (unseen), but Allah chooses of His Messengers whom He pleases].

And Allah said: [إِلَّا مَنِ ارْتَضَىٰ مِنْ رَسُولٍ  عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِ أَحَد- (He Alone) the All-Knower of the Gha’ib (unseen), and He reveals to none His Gha’ib (unseen).” Except to a Messenger (from mankind)…(2)
