[1] Remind those who praise or retweet without clarity that there is no ambiguity about the need for caution in the case of Dr. Sulaymaan Ar-Ruhayli, Dr. Muhammad Bin Haadi, and Their Supporters
In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.
An-Nu’man Bin Basheer [may Allah be pleased with him] said, “I heard Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] saying, ‘That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear, and between the two are ambiguous matters which many people do not know of. So whoever took caution regarding the ambiguous matters has absolved himself regarding his religion and his honour. And whoever fell into the doubtful matters has fallen into the unlawful, just like the shepherd who grazes his flock around the sanctuary (of a king), all but grazing therein. Indeed, every king has a sanctuary (that cannot be violated) and indeed the sanctuary of Allāh is his prohibitions. Indeed, there is a morsel of flesh in the body which if it is sound the whole body is sound, and which if it is corrupt the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart'” [https://www.nawawis40hadith.com/nw/hadith/6/the-doubtful-matters ]
Shaikh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allah have mercy upon him] said, “Falsehood does not spread except with a mixture of some truth just as Ahlul Kitaab mixed truth with falsehood; and by way of the little truth they possessed, they misguided many from the truth and called them to a lot of the falsehood”. [1]
Al-Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Mad’khali [may Allah preserve him] said, “There is one who comes to two disputing parties and misguides them and does not give greater weight to the truth. He has a new doctrine which he considers to be balanced, but it is falsehood and sophistry”. [2]
Indeed, by hastening praise and retweeting those whose affairs call for caution and clarity, some social media influencers speaking in the name of Salafiyah are gradually opening a can of worms for themselves. So, you find them promoting the likes of Dr Sulaymaan Ar-Ruhayli and others. Therefore, we should be very cautious of the activities of those who mix up the affairs by retweeting both the people of clarity and those whose mistakes and stances require caution and warning. Just as there is no ambiguity regarding Dr Muhammad Bin Haadi’s affair since he explicitly opposed what is lawful and committed what is clearly unlawful by making Tabdee without proof, there is no ambiguity regarding Dr Sulaymaan Ar-Ruhaylee’s affair because he openly and stubbornly supports him. Read and listen on the following links regarding both of them: Al-Allaamah Rabiʿ’s request for Shaykh Muḥammad bin Hādī to justify his tabdīʿ of Salafī students and shaykhs and to explicitly name the major scholars he accused of being “affected” and “destroyed” by the “Ṣaʿāfiqah” – one month, no answer- By Shaikh Abu Iyaad:
